I was told that the magazines "Sword and Trowel" are just simply sermons by Spurgeon. What would be the use of that, if you get the Spurgeon Sermons Collection. I could see your need for the Sermons Collection if you had the Sword and Trowel, since the Sword and Trowel would not have ALL of his sermons, but if you already have the sermon collection

That would be great. I haven't purchased it yet, but I assumed it was going to have that feature already.

Apparently this is all super tech geek stuff, or I'm just ignorant. How does any of this effect a Logos user? I went to the website and I don't understand it, my best guest was some type of coding to show scriptures on a website.

If Logos employees are reading this and wondering if anyone else wants the Spurgeon Collection for the reduced price, my pastor and I are interested! We were both bummed that we didn't get the Spurgeon Collection when it was on Pre-Pub, but at the time we were still new to Logos and learning how the program works, pre-pub works, and community pricing

Funny. It looks like at 100% it still won't go over! Or it's just 99.99999999%. Or perhaps it's like chasing a dog, once you get closer, it gets further! I recommended to some of my friends that have not yet purchased a base package library but are planning on it in the future, to at least download the software engine for free, and place some Pre-Pub

In Division Two, I just checked online what Spurgeon's Treasury of David Commentary was like to see if it would be a good commentary on Psalms. My finding was that it's very in depth! For each Psalm it has an 1. Exposition, 2. Explanatory Notes and Quaint Sayings, 3. Hints to the Village Preacher. You can get a taste of it by going to http://www.spurgeon

I'd highly recommend placing an order for The Complete Works of Andrew Fuller, Andrew Fuller was a Biblical theologian driven by a pastor’s heart. He was very influential despite great barriers of opposition. Growing up in the midst of Hyper-Calvinism he had a false assurance of salvation until later he realized his need for Christ. Being in a Christian

George Muller Resources almost at 100% on Community Pricing! http://www.logos.com/communitypricing/details/5683 George Muller - Illustration If we could look behind the unexpected events in our lives, we would be amazed to see God wonderfully providing for our needs. The insignificant turns in the road, the seemingly unimportant events, the often unexplained

Almost every other book is non-Baptist. Look at a couple of "baptist heritage" books, and you see them on the BOTTOM of the list (not the TOP). I think Presbyterian/Reformed, textual criticism, is the majority of books shown. Some Catholic, but notice they're also at the bottom of the list. Logos seems to try to get "everyone in," but it's going to

How exciting to see three Spurgeon sets up in separate divisions! Great to see them at the top or near the top for now, hopefully it stays that way! Calvinists, Arminians, and the Baptist Middle Ground all love his works! The three Spurgeon works available for the March Madness competition being 1) Lectures to My Students (which is an excellent book

I think there may be some people that will regret that they didn't put a bid (or upgrade a bid amount) while it was on Community Pricing after they "learn" who George Mueller was in the future. Christian men from history sure are inspirational, and reminds us, as Hebrews 11 does, that genuine faith is not in vain! On this Collection, I think the Pre

Almost there! If some more people would just bid at the $18 mark it should go through soon! http://www.logos.com/communitypricing/details/5683

I'd recommend Geisler's Systematic Theology. I've used Grudem's mostly, but after seeing Geisler's it is more thorough and deals with each doctrine in various ways, biblical, church fathers thoughts, reformation thoughts, various views, etc. http://www.logos.com/products/details/3597

Yes, it is where John MacArthur is the pastor, Grace Community Church. The Shepherd's Conference is every year around this time. There was approx. 4,000 pastors/staff that were at the conference this year. People were constantly flowing through the books/vendors, very strategic located in the sense that there is constant traffic. Plus they gave us a

I'm currently at the Shepherd's Conference at Grace Community Church and had an opportunity to see the complete Works of Andrew Fuller! The table of contents of the works of Fuller made me want to get it in Logos even more! I almost bought the printed edition to start reading sections of it now, but held back to wait for it to be published for Logos

I thought he was speaking of 1611 spelling differences and sometimes slightly difference word choices. I guess not.

I pre-pub ordered Systematic Theology by John Miley, downloaded the books for Logos Mac 1, synchronized the licenses, and it won't unlock. It also isn't auto downloading for Logos 4 Mac. What do I need to do to get it to work?

One I miss in my old bible program!

It would be neat to have, but it'd be even better if they put some of the pre-1611 translations into Logos! It's neat comparing them all with our modern 1769 KJV, they're so close. Most of the time when read out loud they match to the ear. Yet it's interesting seeing different synonyms that are sometimes used, that mean the same thing, but are a different

I'm surprised Community Pricing doesn't take off quicker. It seems like you could see it for days and it not move at all. I wonder if some Christians are confused and think bidding is "gambling," lol. I just thought more would be interested in this resource.
