We have diagnosed the problem and are working on a hotfix for this issue.

The user setting only adjusts books with line spacing set as default or unset. Books can still be specific about how they want their lines spaced. It is generally rare for Logos books to be specific about line spacing, however our automated process for creating Vyrso books from our publishing partners' epub files accepted and applied those epubs' line
Copy and paste from Word still has all kinds of bugs- or whatever you want to call it- formatting goes to pot.
I would urge you to start a new thread with specifics (an attached Word doc and software versions/platform would be helpful).
I doubt I will ever use the L5 note capability over L3...it would be like trading a power saw for a jagged flint. But let me add my support to the idea of removing all the "let-us-do-the-thinking-for-you" formatting options, such as automatically turning a hard carriage return into a whole (extra space added) new paragraph

The styling of lists/list items is the most dramatic visual change. The old editor (on windows) put extra space above and below lists. You can see in the provided screenshot that there is no space above the list.

Oops, posted via wrong account. Clarifying to add authority to my statement.

This may be tangential to your "buglet", but I thought I would help clarify a bit... It should be understandable that the notes editor isn't able to make the same assumptions that are made by a Bible Reference box. The classic example is "Am I", which may be considered "Amos 1" in a bible reference box but not in a notes editor. Similarly, "Micah6:8

I am having hard time reproducing it. However, performance issues are notoriously hard to quantify and describe; so the more information you can provide us the better. e.g. Which platform? What resources do you have opened/linked? What visual filters are being applied? A screenshot might help.
In previous versions the scrolling seemed quite smooth but in this version it is not at all smooth. It scrolls a little and then stalls for a few seconds. Then it moves again. Happens every time I scroll. Currently have four bibles open all linked through Link Set A. Also have Bible notes file open. They are each on half

oops, Grayson beat me to it.

There are several threads already regarding specific issues with notes and hyperlinks in the current beta. You might find more information there. If you have a new bug that hasn't already been reported, we would love to have more information about it.

Thanks. This is actually the same underlying issue as http://community.logos.com/forums/t/67112.aspx . Namely, pasting from Word loses formatting in general. We know about it and are working on fixing it in an upcoming beta.

Yes you are (evidenced by the dark blue links). Note: the link color will be changing back to the lighter blue that matches the rest of the app soon.
Have you tried the new editor? I believe tables can be read (but not edited).
sorry, just saw your other thread.

A fix will be in the next beta release.

What is your program setting for line spacing?

Great find! I think this is a bug in our resource display engine. What you are seeing is a relatively advanced typographic feature called "automatic hanging punctuation" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanging_punctuation). As you pointed out so clearly, when combined with a list item, the result is quite unsightly. We will create a case and get a fix
This is not working for me. Would you like logs? (I may have to post later tonight).
Steps and screenshots would probably suffice. What are you typing that doesn't work? (it could be that the detector is failing to pick it up)

Use my own words against me?! I developed the core, cross-platform aspect of the new editor which fully supports reference detection. I will get a Mac client desktop dev to come answer your question specifically.
