• Re: Crash: soon after startup

That gave me an idea ... I ran the Disk Cleanup utility and cleared all temp files from the C: drive and it is not crashing so far -- at least I am getting farther into using it than I have been able to over the past couple days.

Is there a shortcut or trick to startup in a blank layout? It was a shot in the dark. The crash error is System.IO.IOException: The file exists. and from the stack trace you can kinda follow what it is doing: Libronix.DigitalLibrary.LibraryCatalogIndex.DoBuildIndex calls Libronix.SearchEngine.Indexer..ctor calls Libronix.SearchEngine.DocumentMetadataManager

  • Re: Crashing soon after startup

Updated. Thanks for the help. Is there maybe some temp file dirs I can try deleting or a way to have it reset the index? Seems like the indexer is what is crashing.

On the Amazon website, in your Kindle settings, make sure personal document archiving is enabled. That way when you send it to one device it will also be archived as part of your amazon account and then on the other device you can view all of your library in the cloud and download from there. (On the device, tap the Home icon in the upper left and then

  • Re: iPad (Air) or iPad Mini experience on using Logos App

I've used both air and mini for reading and taking notes (including highlights). For note taking the air does also provide a larger keyboard, so that is my go-to device at the moment and it is not much heavier than the mini.

They all show up as documents for me, but on my phone, they do show up and with their cover image and not a generic icon. Maybe try hitting the menu button in the upper right. There are options there to filter your library by Books, Docs, or to view All Items. From what I understand, the only way Amazon allows 3rd parties to add books to your Kindle

iirc, all kindles have wifi ...
I had a cursory look-around and it doesn't look like the Kindle DX model ever got wifi.
You are right. Looks like 3G was just part of the package until the Kindle 3 was introduced with a reduced cost wifi only option. I guess I just took free

iirc, all kindles have wifi and so you should be able to get it free via wifi and not need to use whispernet unless you are in a location that does not have wifi. I can think of a couple ways for this to work: 1. Use the "free" kindle email address that only delivers via wifi. To do this, take your normal kindle email address and change @kindle.com

Try going to location 1. I think what is happening is Kindle skips you ahead automatically to the first page of text, which is a TOC from the book, but the linked TOC is placed before the cover page at the very beginning.

I timed a 160 page book. It was about 2 min from the time I clicked the send to kindle link until it was on my device. Also, at that point it was available for download on other devices in the cloud tab (I have personal docs archiving turned on). I also get the book's real cover image, not a generic one. There is a hyperlinked table of contents within

I can confirm the first time you do it on PC it shows properly in the dropdown under Tools. After that it gets converted to search as shown by Dan above.

  • Re: Future Reading Plans

It is weird that on the home page it says "Today's Readings" and then it goes on to list readings that arent for today. I can understand listing readings that are behind or in the near future (maybe up to a week?), but listings for several months from now arent exactly on my radar for "today". I guess actually they are, but they shouldnt be One option

Fixed *finally* in L6, just use the handy new break on chapter feature. Looks like there are several other new reading plan features in L6 that will come in handy as well. Thanks!!
Is not "all" the "extended cross-grade" already in L6 Gold?
It was mentioned elsewhere that all of the feature cross-grade is included in Gold. I had a similar issue with wanting to compare a cross grade option with a content upgrade option. I took the upgrade comparison screen and went line by line crossing highlighting
