Wow. You guys are awesome :-D Thanks!

Hmmm... I did accomplish a few... and then quickly got stuck. I think I'm getting the hang of this. Now I want to negate. Example: g:agapao and NOT @VA How to construct this? Thank you SOOOooo much!

The Morph Search video didn't help -- that's where I started. However, your examples were HUGE. AND -- I can do that search directly on any reverse interlinear Bible. Not sure why it didn't work for me the first time around. Sure works now. MAYBE because I started with right-click on a greek word and modified from there, rather than just typing in the

I am motivated to do some new Bible study, digging in hard in ways that are new to me. Sadly, I can't find a way to accomplish the searches I need. SO... I'm hoping someone here has a hint or two! What I want to do, just for example: * Find all (greek) verb usage that fits certain T/V/M parameters, such as Aorist AND Third Person Aorist AND Imperative
-
Thanks for that syntax! Searching google for LouwNida and subset brought me (at long last) to the detailed Wiki page on search syntax. That information doesn't appear to be in the program help??!! In this case, "subset" seems to be optional: same result with or without it. Plus -- I still use L5 (can't afford to upgrade)...the same thing works in both

www.logos.com/media/blog/swf/LouwNidaSemanticChaining/LouwNidaSemanticChaining.html
It is provided by the reverse-interlinear (and similar) capabilities in Logos 5 / 6 If you turn on the "Inline" capability and choose your options you get L-N information Does this help?
Nope

I found the following resource and don't see an equivalent capability in recent versions? www.logos.com/media/blog/swf/LouwNidaSemanticChaining/LouwNidaSemanticChaining.html

This is in the current (2.5.3 build 123) Logos app, Android 4.1.2 on Samsung S3 (Sprint). Test case: NKJV Heb 6:18 Intermittent (sorry!) symptoms: Try the following with these resources already pre-downloaded, with them removed, and re-downloaded: Go to Heb 6:18 Touch screen, use '+', ensure verse is Heb 6:18 with , then touch Passage Guide Observe

Not sure where to report this but I thought I'd try here. In the NKJV (verified on both desktop 5 and android), go to John 13:35. The greek links behind "have" and "love" are swapped, ie. agape is associated with "have" instead of "love" (and vice versa). That's actually how I noticed this: a search for uses of agape showed that it is supposedly translated

Bob, Just noticed this thread. Life is crazier than usual so I've not had time to fully dig in. But there's one thing I'd encourage as far as the "forget everything you already know" concept. Subscriptions is perhaps a bigger conceptual/marketing/etc deal than Logos leadership may realize. No, I'm not talking about the financial implications. I'm talking

Thanks, Dave. Hopefully they can follow through on the other aspects before further promotion takes place. It is important that buyers be aware of the nature of this purchase, since it is entirely different from any other resource sold by Logos. I'm assuming that's always been the plan, since obviously there's no facility to manage subscriptions yet
-
I just went through my first Logos purchase that left me with a bad taste. At the least, the advertising, cart and descriptive material on FSB needs some careful editing and cleanup. What I thought I was buying is apparently not what I got. And some aspects still are confusing even after having poked around much of the FSB website. Before I explain

Obviously, Logos knows whether it is a "free" app for me or not. Every other app I've loaded on my 'droid that uses ads for the free version, also auto-disables advertising if I purchase the paid version. How much money must users spend on Logos resources before the mobile app allows disabling advertisements? Or at least allows management of advertising

Dave Hooten followed up my bug report with: The desktop L4 app will allow you to conduct a BWS on a lemma that you select from the Greek or Hebrew Words sections. It would require a suggestion for that to happen with the mobile apps. So, this is that suggestion! One of the greatest values of the Logos system is its ability to nurture explorative Bible

So be it :)

I have fat fingers as well... even touching the book/chap/verse buttons can be tricky. Even if they don't allow simplified choosing, it sure would be nice to have the current reference pre-highlighted (and scrolled-to) in the chooser. There are subtleties to any of these options :)... I'm sure the Logos Developers will find a creative and friendly way
-
Do you know that you can change the reference in the box next to the chooser icon (by tapping in the box)?
Yes, but only by using the keyboard to select/delete/re-type. However... your comment implies an even better improvement: bring up the appropriate chooser element as soon as I touch book, chapter or verse in
-
Understood. Yet... once I have the lemma on-screen, shouldn't I be able to get to the rest of the info, such as the greek definition, L-N link, etc?
-
Hooray! As of 1.0 Beta 2, the Default (mobile) Bible can be selected within the Android App :) Thanks much, Devs!

The verse chooser is looking nicer in many ways...** I have played with it, attempting to accomplish something that has always been painful about the Android app when compared with verse choosers from Logos' competitors. I failed, yet I think I see a way to get there without significant developer effort (or serious change to the user interface.) Let
