  • Aramaic Inscriptions module: titles of inscriptions appear in reverse order

In the Aramaic Inscriptions module (not including the English translations) the title for each inscription appears in reverse order (in my copy at least). For example, the SEFIRE TREATY appears as "YTAERT ERIFES"! Please fix. (I trust this isn't an intentional trick for readers of Semitic texts!) Thanks.

Multiple notebooks and computer performance? I'm intrigued by this thread. Since upgrading to Logos 8, my PC appears to have slowed down noticeably. Is there a connection between computer sluggishness and having 30,000 highlights spread among numerous notebooks? Should I consider migrating highlights stored in various notebooks to "no notebook" (as

Yes! Installing the .NET 4.7.1 update solved my Logos 7.11 woes too. Thanks to Veli Voipio for first raising the issue and to Andrew Batishko for providing the link ( on page 3 of this conversation ). I first tried using the standard Microsoft Update, but it didn't list the .NET 4.7.1 update even among their recommended updates. But the link provided

OK, I see, but I didn't overlook the utility of the "no" option, because there's no mention of a further utility or notification that the user receives. If I hover over the Help "?," it simply informs me that choosing "No" means "Updates will never be downloaded automatically." If, in fact, it works as you suggest, i.e. providing a notification of an

  • Suggestion: Option to be notified of an update, which users could later download manually

My dependence (perhaps in a clinical sense ) on Logos software is testimony to its helpfulness and excellence. It has become indispensable to my work as a religious studies professor. But it also means that when there is a hiccup (to put it mildly) in an update (e.g., 7.11.0.0023), it seriously handicaps my teaching and research, and shakes my confidence

I join the several others* who cannot restart Logos once the latest update is applied (7.11.0.0023). Rebooting the computer didn't fix it. Starting Logos while holding the CTRL key was only a temporary fix. The circle just keeps turning while Logos uses 25-50% of my system resources. * See also "Logos Hanging With Latest Update" ( https://community

Whew, I thought I was alone with this bug. I've had a similar problem when my Exegetical Guide will suddenly stop tracking with my Hebrew and English Bibles even though they are all fixed on the same Link Set. Though it has recurred for several weeks, I've yet to discover a pattern. I had hoped that the latest update would fix the issue, but it hasn

Excellent! Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is an extremely helpful addition, one that I've hoped for but never requested. Now that I don't have to manually construct such a string search, I'm more likely to do these kinds of searches that help fine-tune my exegesis.

  • [resolved] Fonts stripped from my Fonts folder?!

I had recently noticed that the SBL Hebrew and Gentium fonts were not displaying properly in my Word documents. Now with the recent Logos 6.3 update, it appears that is to blame (see the Release Notes https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_6.3_SR-1 ). Please correct me if I'm wrong. • Tablet, running Android 3.2, still crashes even after 2.5.3.2 release

I just downloaded the updated Logos Bible app, Android version 2.5.3.2, and was hopeful it had the fix for my Acer A501 Tablet, running Android 3.2. But I get the same immediate crash once the Logos program opens. The Release Notes claim to have fixed the “Crash in Library due to Reading Progress Circle Indicator not working on many 3.x devices.” Any

  • AFPMA no longer listed under Visualizations

With today's updates of the Andersen-Forbes Phrase Marker Analysis (AFPMA) and the Andersen-Forbes Analyzed Text (AFAT) the link to the AFPMA no longer works via the Visualizations section of the Exegetical Guide. There's no problem with the New Testament side, only the Old Testament.

Thank so much, Dave. How silly of me to overlook that point. I must keep reminding myself that the Andersen-Forbes grammatical analysis is very specific and particular about its parameters (to a fault?). Just to ensure that I've covered all the bases, I simply clicked "Predicators" in Clause IC2 to select them all. Now I'm getting the search results

  • SUGG: "Definition Pop Up" for AFPMA

I appreciate the addition of the "definition pop-up" for Syntax Searches in 4.2 Beta 5. That's helpful. But I think a more fundamental "pop up" is necessary for the Andersen-Forbes Phrase Marker Analysis itself. I first learned how to do Hebrew syntax searches by studying the AFPMA in Logos 3. In the Logos 3 AFPMA the hover-over pop ups identified the

I note that “Import Syntax Searches” was a feature added in 4.2 Beta 4, but it's not clear to me how to use this function. I see that “Import Syntax Searches” is a command that can be manually typed in the Command line at the top of the program, but how does one set up a syntax search to be imported? And what does the command, “Import Delete Syntax
