I've seen many great suggestions, especially the UBS Handbooks. I haven't seen any love for the Socio-Rhetorical Commentary series or the Word Biblical Commentary series though. Both of these are fantastic. I have also appreciated some of the more liberal leaning commentaries, like Anchor Yale Bible, Hermeneia, and Interpretation. It is important to
I have encouraged our members to make decisions about attendance based on factual data. I have also encouraged them to hear what our Lord has to say about fear, anxiety, and emotional decisions.
Have the new recommendations from the White House changed your decision about this?
Did Logos really expect anyone to buy anything during week 2's "deals"?
This was my first thought too. I was hoping each week would be like the first. However, these are essentially pre-Black Friday sales. I bet the actual Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales will have much deeper discounts.

These are my current favorites: 1. NRSV / ESV / TEV 2. United Bible Societies' Handbooks 3. Exegetical Summaries 4. Word Biblical Commentary 5. Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary 6. Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary 7. Commentary on the NT use of the OT 8. Socio-Rhetoical Commentary Series 9. BDAG

Perhaps the third temple is the body of Christ [the church] (1 Cor. 3:16). "The physical temple was designed to be temporary. To make the temple of stone a permanent structure in the light of Jesus’ atoning work would be a denial of the Messiah and His redemptive mission." One of the books I bought was Milton Terry's Biblical Hermeneutics. I know it is "free" online, but I wanted it in Logos format - especially since the Kindle version is horrible. You get what you pay for. Terry's work is a classic and a joy to read even today! https://www.logos.com/product/161480/biblical-hermeneutics-a-treatise-on-the-interpretation

I'd enjoy reading what others bought with their coupon. I haven't decided yet.

I recently created a new UserVoice book suggestion for the Access Study Bible. It uses the NRSV.
what's so special about this collection?
I, too, would like to know if there is a stand out commentary in this collection.

Can someone explain this better?

I'm glad to see that the wishlist idea has received some positive feedback. The thing I like the best about the wishlist idea is that it allows all types of resources (dictionaries, commentaries, bundles, collections, monographs, etc.) and price points. What DAL said seemed concerning at first, but unlike the Black Friday sale we would be voting. I

I thought it would be interesting to see what others would like to see in 2020. Here is what I would like to see: 1. A classic commentary collection bracket - with updated collections combining the original collections with their upgrade collection. For example, these two collections combined into one. https://www.logos.com/product/8522/classic-commentaries
...I would have thought that the two of you would recall the obvious fact that in the post-resurrection story of the road to Emmaus ( Lk. 24:15 , 16 ), it shows as plain as day that the disciples could be in His presence for an hour or more and not know who He was.
You are correct they did not recognize him. John 20
I have several people in a Bible study discussing whether we will know the people we knew on earth in heaven. I am having trouble finding info to prove/disprove. Any pointers/answers? Any resource that can start a debate is worth owning. It is important to understand other positions from those who actually believe in them. I would never think about learning about young earth creationism from Hugh Ross, for example. Likewise, if you want to be able to understand John Walton's position, you have to read his books. Why would you expect
