• Re: "Passage Guide" not working in Logos 8.3.0.0020

I have the same version and was able to open the Passage Guide for Lk.13:1-5. When you right-click on the verse, did you choose the text reference in the upper right of the next screen?

  • Re: Clickable web link

OK. Problem solved. You just drag the link from your browser to the title bar. D'uhh.

  • Clickable web link

Dear All, I have searched the forum but cannot find the answer to my question... How do I create a clickable web link within Logos 7, which could then be pinned to the title bar for easy access to commonly used sites? (I have such a link in my title bar to the LSJ Lexicon... but I can't remember how I got it there!! Cheers, William Gadsby

  • Re: Notes, Clippings & Highlighting

Actually, "Yes," but it's cumbersome... If you CUT the Clippings text you wish to highlight and PASTE it into a note (say), then highlight it using the notes toolbar button, you can then CUT and PASTE it back into the clipping. Like I said, cumbersome. Don't understand why Logos didn't include the highlighting button in the Clippings tool bar... Pete

  • Re: ESV verbs highlighted in mulitview

Thanks MJ... that did the trick. I'd overlooked scrolling down the Visual Filters box. Apparently the OT and NT verbs filters were on by default in multiview. Cheers, Pete

  • Re: ESV verbs highlighted in mulitview

Thanks Graham. Trouble is that I'm not sure that filters work in multiview... Here's what I see when I disable the filters in the multiview window... Note that both resource and community notes are unchecked. When I simply open the ESV in a new window, verbs are not highlighted. The problem arises only a 'multiview window.' Regards, Pete

  • ESV verbs highlighted in mulitview

Dear All, I just installed L.7 over the top of L.6 Platinum on a Windows PC. Opening a 'multiview' window, I was surprised to find that when I added the ESV, all the verbs were highlighted. This was not an option I had selected, and I cannot find how to disable it, or what the color coding means. Why is this happening? Pete

  • Re: Windows Error Message "The installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed".

Check out the procedures on this page( https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/installation-did-not-succeed ), and particularly Solution 2. Once you have located the logos installer file, open a cmd window using administrator privileges. Then navigate to the installer file and type in the name of your installer .exe. I was able to install the update

  • "Copy BIble Verses" (CTRL-ALT+B)

When working on sermons, etc., the ability to call up the "Copy Bible Verses" window, type in a reference, and then copy the Bible text in various formats, is a most useful feature in Logos. I have noticed, though, that while upon its first use, the cursor defaults to the reference box, if you leave the window open after copying your material, and return

This may well be a silly question... but if the bug fixes in this release all related to the Mac., then why did my Windows machine download it? Pete

  • Re: New Feature: Cultural Concepts

Just checking out this 'Cultural Concepts' tool, and found that it listed a number of resources that are not in my library (L.6 Platinum). Is this a new selling technique by Logos? Or can I limit the display to include resources which I own, and no more?

  • Control-scroll zoom in Logos 4 and 5

Libronix 3 recognized the use of the scroll wheel: on a page of text, holding down CTRL, you could change the text size using the mouse scroll wheel. This functionality seems to have been removed from Logos 4-5, and replaced by CTRL+ + and CTRL + -. Was there a reason for removing this facility, and can it be restored? Pete
Excluding what I have hidden, this is my library profile. I'm sure it can be improved in terms of narrowing the "beat's me/I don't know/unclassified" portion:
How did you generate this pie chart?

  • Re: Logos 5 on a 30" monitor

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I've tried the various, but nothing seemed to solve the problem. I've finally discovered that if I make the main Logos window slight LESS than fully maximized, the second window auto-opens to the maximum width (50% of main window). Blessings, Pete

  • Logos 5 on a 30" monitor

I'm displaying L.5.1 SR-1 (5.1.0.0950) on a Dell 3007, 30" monitor. The ample screen real estate is just great! However, when I start L.5, the window that opens is smaller than full-screen, so I click the maximize button. When I now open (say) a version of the Bible, the window fills 50% of the screen, on the left. If I now open a second Bible version

  • Re: Upgrading

Dearie me. When will people learn some of the niceties (pecularities?) of English? You LOSE features, you don't 'loose' them. And while I'm at it, "IT'S" is an abbrev. for IT IS, or sometimes IT HAS. You DO NOT write "The computer has blown it's fuse," but "The computer has blown ITS fuse." And you LIE on the bed, you don't LAY. You LAY an egg, or LAY

Dear Gary, That fixed it, my friend. Thanks for taking the trouble to post the screenshots: made it very clear. I don't recall unchecking that option, but must have done so, I guess. Case closed! Blessings, Pete PS Ward had the answer earlier, but I didn't pick up on 'Visual Filters.' Newbie.
