• Re: You chose an Android tablet over an iPad--mind telling which one and why? (and other questions)

I went with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Been wanting an Android based tablet for quite a while, but waiting for the hardware to catch up. Biggest thing for me was getting a 10" screen. I'd messed with the iPad and the 7" Android devices that had been out for a while and knew I wanted the larger screen. The Samsung was basically the first one to market

  • Re: Export function for handouts

I used the export so I could get it into a format for some post-processing of handouts I create for class. Mainly to apply formatting and page layout to the document that is not available in Logos. I would also use it to cut out parts of the handouts that I did not want (since Logos appears to want to fill the available space regardless of what I'm

  • Re: Export function for handouts

That's too bad. Export worked fine for me and was very usable. Without that capability, it renders the whole Handout function useless for me. Any idea whether it is possible to rollback and uninstall the 4.3 update?

  • Export function for handouts

Hi, Just updated to 4.3 over the last couple days. Was working on a handout and I cannot find an export function any longer. The panel icon just gives me some options for displaying the window and the Print button just gives me a standard Windows print dialogue box. Am I missing something? Did the export function get removed? Or moved somewhere else

  • Re: Logos for Android 1.0 Beta 7

Hunter, Followed your directions using the download site. If I tried to open the download link using the marketplace app, I got the same result. However, by using a browser to access the market, I was able to install beta 7. Did end up with an extra icon (easy enough to get rid of). Looks like I am all set up with beta 7 now. Thanks so much for your

  • Re: Logos for Android 1.0 Beta 7

I can see the app in the market, but my device does not recognize it as an update. All I get is an option to open, no update. Currently running beta 6. This is on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Thanks!

  • Re: updates

iirc, starting with Beta 3, I would get a notification that an update was available. I think it also installed the update once I told it to proceed (instead of going to the download page). And it did inform me that it was replacing an existing app but would retain user data.

  • Install success - Galaxy Tab 10.1, EVO

Like the subject says, installed on both a 10.1 Tab and an EVO. On the EVO, did a successful upgrade from Beta 1 to Beta 2. On the Tab, went straight to Beta 2. Have not had a chance to do a lot of in depth testing, but thus far have not run across any crashing issues. I have noticed that when entering a passage reference, at least for the ASV, it gets

  • Re: Amazon Cloud Player goes live....

They indicate they'll store songs you buy through Amazon, but I can't tell whether this counts against the free 5GB of space. Would have been nice if they could have somehow matched up all the songs I've bought from them and put it in there for me. Anyway, will definitely have to check this out.
If so, I'd wait. Honeycomb on the NC is not ready for prime time. If you like living on the edge go for it, otherwise wait or just get one and play with FroYo until Honeycomb gets better to use on the NC.
Yeah, I'll be fine. I pretty much live in beta world.

I'm seriously leaning toward picking up a Nook Color and hacking it to run Honeycomb. Would really like a 10" tablet, but the price points for the devices just don't work for me.

Steven, Go to the Reftagger site and scroll down to the FAQ section. Look for the discussion on using the bibleref markup to construct links manually. That should address what you are looking for.

  • Re: Indexing == Torture test

This turned into a major problem for me with this latest update as I have a bad fan on my laptop. The indexer can't run for more than a few minutes before it would push the cpu temp into a critical range (after previous shutdowns, I now monitor the temp pretty close and know when to pause it). I found a solution tonight using a utility called Battle

  • Re: Computer Purchase In Your Future?
It depends on what your criteria are: Do you want a quality hardware machine? Don't think there are really any/many Windows machines manufactured by the usual suspects which compare with MacBooks. They all try to copy Apple but they always fall short. Do you want a quality user experience = OS + hardware? Windows comes nowhere

  • Re: Computer Purchase In Your Future?

I happened to pop in to an Apple store on Friday just to check out some laptops. Main thing I was looking for was a comparison of the 13" vs 15" screens on MBP. From what I saw, I think the 13" would be sufficient for how I use a laptop. I did think the MBPs were heavier than I was expecting. I also looked at an Air and was impressed with that. Not
