  • Re: Missing Books on Mac

Hi Chad If I wasn't in a great hurry I would wait until Alpha 19 comes out on Monday. There is a problem, at the moment with the syncing commands in Alpha 18 that might be improved in the new version. Once it comes and you have updated (look for the 'Alpha 19 release notes' about 3 down from the top of the forum) then you can type "Update Resources

Ok Ok - so I was getting a bit ahead of myself. And the way they might tax it 17.5% of the version number. Bring on Beta0.0000001 Tootle pip Mike

Hi Minister I don't know the answer to your question but what I have I give you... It is a good idea to change your user name so that your email address does not appear in the forums. Leaving it as it is is an open invitation for those who collect addresses off the web and then try and sell you all sorts of questionable items and services. Most of which

  • Re: Resource Update

Hi Alan I think all these commands, (at the moment) 'update x' 'scan this or that' all need a restart of Logos to make them active. At least this has been my experience. And you know experience counts for a lot in Theology :-) tootle pip Mike

Hi Tommy, To use the politicians response; 'I hear what you say'. However it doesn't ring true. I have the alpha on an imac in the office and on a macbook at home. The only difference, apart from the platforms is 1. The updates are sometimes delayed on the imac because I am away from the office for a couple of days. 2. I changed the 'customised' options

Well I got a download at about 23:00hrs GMT – but then I am a good deal closer to Logos HQ than Alan.

  • Re: Hopefully just a silly question

Hi Bill, I was thinking of just clicking on the library panel and checking off the list against the resources listed on the Logos web site for your installation. Even if they are in the resource folder they are of no use unless they appear in the library. Tootle pip Mike

  • Re: BUG: Scrolling is REALLY non-responsive

Hi Tommy I guess the matter of acceptable scrolling response is subjective. But I just opened a floating pain (the first book in my library) beside a Safari window. Using the button on my apple mouse to move up and down the Safari window always brings me back to the same place. The Logos window seems never to do that. Tootle pip Mike

Not a lot of point - this is alpha software and is sold on the basis of there being no telephone support until it is finished. On the other hand you might get lucky. tootle pip Mike

Have a look at the first couple of postings on the forum. The answer is between 'Alpha' and 'Release Notes' Ok - today it is 18 on Monday evening GMT it will be 19 (allegedly) and providing the new government doesn't tax it. tootle pip Mike

Quite by chance I clicked on edit under the reading plan today and the list view opened. Trying to see if it was possible to select a group of dates to mark as read I made a discovery! If you right click to the right of the list of readings you get a contextual menu which give options- Catch up to here Mark as read Adjust Plan So what I wanted was provided

Hi Nathan Until Biblical Places, People and Things are a bit kinder to the memory and CPU it is best to start with them closed and only open them if you really need them. Somebody said 'they leak memory like a sieve' so expect to restart once you have dealt with them - and of course closed them up again. Of course all this care may be unnecessary in

Hi Jerry Just out of interest did rebuilding the index free up some space on your hard drive or did it just allow Logos to work within a smaller space? I see you that you say that you had the same problem and wondered how near to capacity your hard drive was? tootle pip Mike
