• Re: full L4 control from your iPAD !!! WORKS GREAT

I really like how iTeleport auto-configures via Google accounts. I have been able to reach my MacBook Pro when it was in a hotel room, and still reach my Mac Pro in my office. It has worked flawlessly for a while for me, and I'm quite impressed with it!

As long as you have media for an older version of Windows, you can install Windows 7 upgrade on a fresh install. You just have to insert the older media when prompted. It can even be on a network drive!

On my iPad: 4 seconds from launch to home page. Clicking Read brings up the resource immediately. Clicking a new resource (that's downloaded) is about 2-3 seconds. A Passage Guide is about 5 seconds. A word study, 2-3 seconds. I suppose I could do a video one of these days...

  • Re: I need your advice about Pc slate

Tes, I expect that we'll see a new iPad either in the fall (just in time for Christmas buying) or in January (around the anniversary of the announcement). I expect the new one will have a better display (perhaps similar to the iPhone 4's Retina Display), a camera on the front for video conferencing, more RAM with the processor (the iPhone 4's A4 has

  • Re: e-readers

Due to the licensing and copyright challenges, I don't expect this to happen for those that are still under copyright. It's been difficult enough for them to get a large percentage available for iPhone/iPad due to the issues around ownership.
I read the Logos Forums through an RSS reader like Bloglines and it does everything you are asking about. Just subscribe using one of these readers and only read the ones you want and check the ones you want to keep.
As technical as I am (very!), I've just never figured out a good workflow for an RSS reader. I'm still

  • Re: Has Logos shared a development roadmap?

Just curious... did you use the offline mode for the books you were using? I hear ya about the other functions, though. I use my iPad as an adjunct to my PC/Mac-based versions of Logos, so I think of it more as a portal into my resources rather than the primary Bible application. Are you thinking of your iPad as the primary interface you'll use?

Certainly nothing in the short-term, since it's only in developer preview at this point, and not at all ready to be used for real development. I would expect it to begin to have some impact in late 2010/early 2011 at the earliest.
Hi Alan After using it for a while, I understand what you meant.... In Logos 4 I can't even select my preferred bible from the home screen, and the update download doesn't seems to be working at all, it keep saying it is download some update in the background, but no icon on the top toolbar... I use MindJet MindManager and XMind, mostly the former since I started using it on Windows years ago. Buzan has a version for the Mac now, too.

  • Re: iPad and preaching?
I do not believe what is in iOS4 is true multi-tasking (several processes running concurrently) it is more like task switching where it will freeze whatever you were doing while you switch to another application and then come right back where you were at when you return to the other. The idea of reading your notes while
Not only do I have LOGOS on my iPad, but I also have Amazon's Kindle Reader on my iPad. I admit, I prefer Amazon's Kindle reader to iBooks, and because of it's ability to highlight AND take notes AND bookmark, I prefer it to LOGOS reading. But the ability to have my iBooks, my Kindle books, and LOGOS books all in one

  • Re: Logos App Update?
Unless I am wrong, don't be fooled by the use of the words multi-tasking when it comes to the iOS 4. From what I can gather it does not multi-task apps, work in more than one app at a time, but task switches. In other words sets a previous app aside, freezing it's data, while you work in another app allowing you to seamlessly
