• Re: Amazon Kindle Gearing Up To Take On IPad?

I admit that I prefer reading on my iPad to reading on my Kindle 2. I also think that there is far too little understood about platform, ecosystems, application development, and so on. The iPad had instant access to over 150,000 applications and a core of application developers who were (and are) eager to produce impressive applications for it. Even

  • Minor: Menubar Icon

Ok, this in the ridiculous nit category, but since I've been going through my menubar items today, I thought I'd mention it. Starting with Snow Leopard, menubar items are b/w, not color. Logos is the only item in my menubar now that is in color. Whether you like it or not, YMMV, but I thought I'd mention that Apple shift.

  • Re: Droid needed
Very good! I took the survey. Thank you! I sure would think there are many non-iPhone Droid users who would love to have Logos the same way you are doing for iPhone.
Druids? Why would a Christian company like Logos offer Bibles for Druids?! After all, their pagan activities are hardly compatible with the focus of

  • Re: Mark Read doesn't work while offline
I am the same. It is quite frustrating. Also, I wish that the "read" place to tick was not on the edge - makes it hard to select without turning the page. Can it be put into the centre instead?
Good idea!

  • Re: iPad without Internet
As I have also requested in a previous post. The Startup page for logos must have two buttons. One that says "Work Online" and one that says "Work Offline" This would stop the device (Ipod, Iphone, Ipad) from the unnessaccery task of trying to find a network regardless, which in my mind is stupid and highly annoying in my opinion

  • Re: iPad without Internet

As with the iPhone, you can download resources and use them offline. However, a number of the study features rely on the cloud so are unavailable when you're offline. Most especially this includes search.

  • Re: iPad Worldwide launch

Actually, I paid the $729 for the 32GB 3G model, but I get your point. That said, I wouldn't buy a netbook at any price, so there's a key difference between us, too. It just doesn't do what I require.
LOL, a good price... me thinks not.. for that money I can get a tablet laptop.. and have all my books.. ok is not as "sexy" but more functional
I couldn't agree less. The iPad is "different" functional, not "less" functional. It is certainly the most personal, immersive, interactive experience available today. It also

  • Re: Alternatives of Logos in iPad

I use iSSH on my iPad and iPhone for remote access. It does VNC and ssh both.

  • Re: Game Changer?

Yes, the iPad is a game changer, and yes, using Logos on it is definitely a mind expanding experience... I highly recommend it! Were you suggesting something else? Are you aware that Logos is available native on the iPad. I own a Kindle 2 and an iPad and I highly doubt that the Kindle 2 will ever again be used...

  • Re: More options for appearance

I had not noticed this in the General | Accessibility preferences. Thanks for that. Not really great, but much better than the default when I'm in bed with my lovely bride (of 25+ years!) and she's trying to sleep!

  • Re: Alpha 19 Teasers

I really like this idea, and would prefer it myself. Right now, I have a plan for OT, NT, Ps, and Pr. What I'd like is for the Pr and Ps to end on chapter boundaries or have a bit more control over it. Again, great idea!

  • More options for appearance

I use the Kindle app on my iPad and have also seen the OliveTree blog post with the screen shots of their iPad app... As a result, it seems like it wouldn't be too much to ask to have a few additional appearance options for Logos on the iPhone/iPad: sepia and black background, bookmarking, and font size adjustment on-page instead of on a separate screen

  • Using forums from iPad or iPhone

The forum editor software really doesn't like those of us who visit using iPhones and iPads! The only way for me to create a post is using the HTML editor, and writing the title and tags for a post is nearly impossible... And chance you could upgrade the editor to one that is mobile Safari friendly?

  • Mark Read doesn't work while offline

When I am in offline mode on my iPhone or iPad, clicking "Mark Read" does not cause the day to be marked read when I go back online. I have to revisit the last reading for the day and mark it read again. Fix, please?

  • Weird reading list issue

I read my daily reading on my iPhone or (now) my iPad. My daily reading is a combination of OT, NT, Ps, and Pr. The day before yesterday, the Proverbs entry was Pro 9:13 (one verse). However, when it showed up at the end of my Ps reading, it was not highlighted. I could not click it. Furthermore, if I went directly to it using the chapter/verse search

  • Re: Text off to the right on iPad?

Thanks, I'll try that trick next. This morning, it wasn't a problem for some reason, perhaps because I left the font larger than usual last time I changed it...

  • Text off to the right on iPad?

I am seeing the text on my iPad going off to the right. When I resize the fonts, it reflows properly, but when I just change the orientation, the text remains off the right edge of the screen. I did search a bit for this issue and didn't see it, so I hope I'm not repeating something!
