Thank you folks for the furthered suggestions. Is-Mebin, I was just looking at the Halot and saw it bundled with BDAG - then George, you just rumbled in advising Is Mebin that very thing. Interesting!!! Rosie, you are soooo correct - this place is alive!!! I've never been so impressed with a Bible program as Logos and the forum here is totally tremendous

  • Re: Recommended Hebrew Lexicons

I was being sarcastic in my so called request for "one answer at a time" - meaning, only one person at a time!!!???! :-} As you know, on some forums, when one hurls out a question, that one might get a reply in a week by one individual. Obviously, that is not the case here at Logos. I'm impressed!!! Seriously George & Denise, I appreciate your expertise

  • Recommended Hebrew Lexicons

A low bow of salutary greetings, We've heard opinions as to which Greek Lexicon is the best - would you kind brethren mind giving your recommendation as to which is the best or better of the Hebrew Lexicons offered thus far by Logos. One answer at at time please. Thanks!!!

Well Is Mebin, I would think your original comment put sputter and life back into this particular thread. I've appreciated the helps - pointers - opinions that have rumbled forth since. Thank you guys!!! Appreciated.

Is mebin!!! I appreciate your note. As to being put off with several of the responses, one allows such to roll off the back as water off a greased up Duck!!! :-} One does well to remember, these comments regarding Lexicons are but opinions and not more. Thayers / Strongs / especially Bullingers are Lexicons / Dictionaries that have given too much help

George, it's good that all isn't left up to one man's opinion regarding Lexicons, hey?

  • Re: Bullinger Greek Lexicon

Thank you for your response Denise. I'm thinking those who have the printed form of this Book would appreciate it incorporated into Logos. You mention it being a Vines equivalent - It's really a whole different format that Vines. I'm really not frustrated at it not being a part of Logos - I would like it to be. But at this point, I'll not throw myself

Todd, I've used it especially for prepositions. I find it excellent this way whereas for instance, Vines does not do so much on that. I understand other Lexicons do this, but I've especially appreciated Bullinger on at least this one point. Even with the other Lexicons I've got, I still find myself going to this one in the printed form. But apparently

Todd, I've no more interest in writing why you should have this Lexicon than you have in having it incorporated into Logos. Appreciate your reply though. Fgh, someone must have had a bit of interest in this, or it would not have been posted in the first place. As to its cost and the huge number of bidders to get it going - I'm somewhat aware, but not

Ted, I'm in but was kind of hoping it would be made available by now. Hopeful thinking, hey?

  • Bullinger Greek Lexicon

I was & am wondering why Bullinger's Critical Lexicon & Concordance isn't taking off the way I thought it would. Is it because there's not a lot of interest in this type of Book or are we right on the threshold of it going to Logos?

  • Re: Indexer CRASH after most recent resource update

Mine roared through to 100% last evening so all seems like it's working alright. Do any of the Techs work on Saturdays or are they like the *rest* of us - wanting the weekends off too?

  • Re: Indexer has stopped working

Hi Mark, I did the *rebuild Index* and when I rumbled back into my Study just now, I see that everything seems to be ok. The Indexing has obviously completed (no more messages that the Indexing wants to close down). Would you then assume also that everything, including the latest update file, should be properly indexed? And if you wish, I do have two

The fix or work around isn't working here either. I got to about twenty something per cent and down she went again. Are we to wait till next week for a genuine fix for this, or do the boys work on the weekends also? :-)

This doesn't work - at least for me. It got to about 26% and stopped working again.

Todd - Logos 4 is the version. I typed in *rebuild Indexer* --- I'm going to be out for a bit but I might have the Fire Department on speed dial - the cpu is reving up to the point where this Laptop might tear right out into orbit.

  • Indexer has stopped working

Has anyone else got this today - Logos downloaded a 160 plus file and when it goes to index it, the program keeps asking to close. Why am I expecting there to be another file to fix this like last time? :-)
