• Beta 5 - Beachball of Death

Well, this is new and unwanted. Beta 5 worked this morning, but this afternoon it's giving the beachball of death. I can log in, and the panels load and are viewable, but then the beachballs starts spinning and doesn't quit. The app can't be force quit. I have to shut down, where it eventually times out, and then I can force quit. I have B5 on 2 different
Scrolling in general is pretty poor at the moment
Yes, I have noticed that compared to other programs where I frequently do a lot of scrolling, say Word or Safari, L4 is noticeably less responsive. Like my scroll wheel has molasses all in it or something.
The layout icon is not to indicate three litteral tiles but vertical tiles.
Ok, but in the scenario above, it didn't create any vertical tiles, regardless of the literal number that the icon may or may not represent. It created a checkboard of panels. And if readability is really the issue, um, well, I don't see how

  • B2 Potential bug - vertical layout, an atrocity

I had a dozen books or so open in 3 panels, and I thought it might be more efficient to rearrange them. In the Layouts window there is a layout called "vertical" which has 3 vertical panels, and that looked about right, so I clicked it. This is what I got. Was that supposed to happened? I doesn't look at all like the picture in the Layouts menu.

  • A25 Question - What are all these lines doing in my scroll bar?

So I've noticed that my scroll bars now have these little lines in them. Why are they here? How are they supposed to be helping me? And most importantly, how can I turn them off? In some of my books, I have so many lines, I can no longer click in the scroll bar to jump up/down a page without accidentally going to some other reference. TIA.

I think I observe this: upon application startup, the method that "shrinks the tabs" is not being called, so that tabs are at full size (and stuck there). But if another event

    > Scroll buttons appear when there are more tabs than fit Please, please, please tell me how to disable this feature and go back to previous way of having tabs shrink themselves! Formerly, if there were more tabs than fit, the tabs shrunk themselves by using abbreviations instead of full names, and if that didn't work, they used an icon of the book

  • Re: Footnote text in search result does not match footnote text in the open resource

I reported this once and was told it was a feature, not a bug. It didn't really make sense to me, but apparently since the Windows version does it, that's gospel (pardon the bad pun) and settled the matter. I, too, wish they'd reconsider.

Any chance of revisiting the underlying design decision? Or is that beyond the mandate of the Mac dev team?

  • Re: A21 Bugs - Searching isn't Finding

It looks like A22 has fixed one of the three issues. 1) Ok, I think the real problem is that the hyperlink in the search isn't going to right place in the text. When I search for concessive, I get a hit in the "predicative accusative" section, specifically GGBTB 8.2.1.4.c.1. Yet when I click the blue hyperlink, the words "predicative accusative," it
could the problem be that you are searching an English text for a Greek word?
When I'm doing a word study, one of the things I want to know is where else in this book the author uses this same word. And where in other books by the same author is the word used. And finally where else in the same testament is the word

Release notes say: Search > Analysis View now has Column Auto-sizing, Column Re-sizing, etc. So I went to search > Bible > analysis and ran a search. I get an empty screen. Maybe I'm on the wrong search? Maybe it doesn't work for Greek word searches? The other 3 views (Grid, Verses, Aligned) work fine.

  • A21 Bug - History is lost

Still studying Ephesians. Found a cross-reference to Colossians. When to HCSB and entered the ref (Co 1:23). Read it. Then read the verse in several other translations (by clicking the tabs in the same panel). Then looked at my history. For some reason, the history thinks I've been in John 10:1. It's lost.
