  • Re: A12 not auto updating

I've had the same issue. Normally when I open L4, the blue icon appears in the menu bar and starts downloading right away. I waited about 30 min, but nothing. So I manually downloaded and installed.

  • Re: Mac Alpha is making consistent progress

Alpha 11 was certainly a good release for me. As 13 inch MacBook user, having the contextual menus pop *on* the screen is most helpful, and a working cmd-C copy is, well, normal. So even though progress feels slow, I'm glad there's progress! And as a software developer, I fully understand how slow development can be; better to be slow and good than

  • Re: Doh! Are page numbers gone?

Well, you are correct. Regrettably, it's not so useful. I don't know the page number a priori. When I need a footnote, I don't want to start guessing what page I'm on. Hopefully they will add button or such to toggle back and forth. Thanks for your help, Donovan.

How do you switch back and forth between page numbers and book/chapter/verse?

You have footnotes? I don't get footnotes (Word for Mac 2008). Do I need to turn that on somewhere?

  • Re: Logos 4 icon in my menu bar -- the new normal?

Ok, started following your instructions. I canceled indexing and downloading, and the icon disappeared. When I restarted L4, it started up again and apparently figured out how to finish downloading on its own. After a few minutes the menu bar icon disappeared. Apparently this is not the new normal after all. Thanks.

Sigh. It's stuck here. Even after a reboot of my MacBook. Ideas on how to jumpstart the downloading process? TIA

  • Re: Logos 4 icon in my menu bar -- the new normal?

I will let you know. At this moment, the menu bar icon says it is downloading updates. Regrettably it's been stuck at 95% for a while. I'll try and be patient.

  • Doh! Are page numbers gone?

I read this post last night: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6828.aspx and was delighted to realize that not only could I cut and paste, but page numbers were on display for certain books, such as commentaries. I tried it and observed the page numbers in alpha 7. This morning alpha 8 downloads, but now there don't seem to be any page numbers (to

  • Logos 4 icon in my menu bar -- the new normal?

Just got alpha 8, thank you! In earlier alphas, the Logos 4 icon would appear up on the right side of my menu while the s/w was downloading updates and indexing. Then after a few hours (*cough* or a few days *cough*) it would go away, presumably once indexing was finished. But starting with alpha 7, this icon never went away. Is this icon now a permanent

  • Just one highlighter, please

Alpha 8 is looking really stable, thank you, especially compared to earlier alphas. I have only 1 small request: can I have a highlighter, please? I don't need every highlighter and colored pencil and fancy markers. Just one. Any one. You can pick the color! Even an underliner would be just fine. Thank you and keep up the good work!

  • Re: Resource Associations?

Well, I have some prioritized resources now. :-) I'm using L4 via Parallels 3 on my iMac; all the arrow keys appear to work the same way. It's not fast like L3, but it works; looking fwd to L4/Mac getting more stable. Thanks again for your help.

Very helpful, thank you. Not the answer I was hoping for, but it was the answer to my question. Hopefully they will bring them back. Thanks again.

PRA's are important to me as well. One way to group them might be with tags.

  • Resource Associations?

Does 4 still have the concept of resources associations? I very much liked associating books together and using the right and left arrow keys to move between them. TIA.

  • Re: Logos Bible Software for Mobile Devices

Totally agree with Scott K. I study on my iMac, where I have plenty of space to read and think and write. Having my Libronix library on my iPod Touch (or perhaps on the new iTablet, whatever it is) would be a great way to read books in my Libronix library that I would not otherwise read. I just don't read books at the computer; books are meant to be
