  • Re: I need Help selecting a Seminary

Hi Lee, I'm not sure which country you are serving in, but do note that if you are working in a "closed country", they may not recognize a seminary degree for your attempt to get a visa. You'll need to find out. Visa is a constant issue with us in the field, even with those of us who has postgraduate degrees. It's very dependent on the country...

  • SUGGESTION: Improving searching within Logos (GUI revamp)

Sorry that I'm harping on the same subject again. But I feel there's a need to bring this up again. I find myself using Logos in 2 different ways: 1. Passage search/ Word Study/ Reference etc. For this, the current functions serve it excellently. 2. Reading. I've got so many books that I'm finding it hard to remember which books I have not finished

  • Word Study question (Septuagint)

I've a question. When invoking a "Bible Word Study" on a NT word (e.g. ESV reverse interlinear), we get the translation in the NT based on the default Bible (which can be user defined). However, there's no choice for selection for the Septuagint translation. For example, I would like to use the Lexham Greek-English Interlinear as the default text (so

  • Re: Passage guide offline?

It appears that all the search function now requires one to be online. As you mentioned, I also hope that it can be made offline for a few reasons: 1. Many of us do not have 3G on our android phones - particularly in rural areas where we serve as missionaries. And in rural areas, we don't have wifi hotspots either . 2. The only place I can access via

  • Re: Logos Beta for Android wish-list

I'm still waiting for all the functions in the iOS version to be in Android - namely ability to do Word/passage study and searches. At this stage, there's hardly any difference from Vyrso (android version).

Just installed on my Samsung Galaxy S2. Worked excellently so far. Looking forward to more features. Keep it up!

  • Re: Which base package do you own?

I have the BSL. I find most of the books in the packages "nice to have" but not essential. I got the BSL just to have a base and some of the add-ins. Some of the "more essential" books in the higher base packages (like NA27 etc), I got them as individual books, which is still cheaper. Instead, I get books, commentaries, lexicons, dictionaries, monographs

  • Expanding midi hymnal to include more contemporary songs

I like the way the midi hymnal integrates into Logos (and the ability to play the midi file right in Logos). I wonder if there's anyway to expand that to include more contemporary worship songs. Many times, I need to search for appropriate songs to go with my message. The ability to search for newer songs within Logos tagged and searchable by the relevant

FInally! I asked Logos for this since the early days of L3. Must be years ago. Great to see it coming to reality!

  • Re: 463.5 MB Update...Any ideas what it is?

I asked about this before - whether it's possible at least, after a new update, for Logos to have a pop-up (or something of that sort) of changes/new additions etc. Sometimes, I don't know what new books are added.

  • Scanning 170 pages in 60 seconds

Just read this today: "TOKYO - JAPANESE researchers said on Friday they had developed technology to scan a book as fast as a person can flip through it. A prototype ultra-speed scanner capable of digitising a book in one minute will be built within two years, said the chief researcher of the team at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Information

  • JB Phillips

Not sure if this has been asked before. But is the JB Phillips NT anywhere in the radar for development. I just talked to a friend last night who has been searching for a long time for a hard copy of JB Phillips - it appears it's been out of print. I still have my super old hard copy. Would be nice to have that in Logos.

  • Suggestion: tell us what has been updated after updating

It will be nice to have Logos4 tell us exactly what has been updated when updating has completed. A small pop-up window will be nice. I'm waiting for my pre-pub, and I know it will be downloaded automatically when it's ready. But the problem is that I will never know when it's actually out and downloaded. It will be nice when I run my Logos4, it starts

  • Re: Unable to reinstall Logos4

Just downloaded the latest beta version. It installed fine, but at the end of the installation, a message said that the older version cannot be removed. Then setup exited ungracefully. Logos4 still start up though, but I'm unsure if there's going to be any unwanted side-effects with left over software from previous version lurking in the background

  • Re: Unable to reinstall Logos4

Yes, I deleted the hidden folder d:\user...\AppData\Local\Logos4. I'm not sure if something was installed in the user temp folder. I made one mistake - I did a backup of the C: partition, but not the D: partition. The problem is that I moved my entire user folder into d: directory using registry changes (that's the only way to do it for Windows 7 -

  • Re: Unable to reinstall Logos4

With a clean recovery, that would also mean the registry is clean (at pre-installation date). I've also cleaned the registry (deep cleaning) using JVpowertools and did a registry search for all Logos4 remnants (which I removed). To no avail.

  • Unable to reinstall Logos4

I've encountered an unsual problem. I had to recover my HD for some reason (using Acronis). After recovery to the clean initial clean status (ie no additional software installed), I attempted to install Logos4. However, installation stopped and a message said that I've already installed a newer version of Logos. This doesn't make sense since my recovery
