  • Re: Prioritized commentary collection has "0 volumes" - Logos 9

I called Logos and it seems likely that I didn't click the right box when installing it initially. I can't imagine not telling it to download everything, but since everything didn't get downloaded, that seems the likely culprit. Yes, it turns out I can select everything and tell it to download it all, but it's a bit fussy where I do that- it appears

That's definitely faster than what I could figure out, but outside of some resources I have to have NOW:-) I'm going to see what Logos tells me. I have enough resources that doing this will be very tedious and time consuming. There ought to be a better way. Thanks for being so helpful.

Thanks for the fast response. The info you have "circled" with a rectangle reads the right number- that's what I was trying to say by "the count on the left...is correct." There are 43 volumes in the NAC, my count is 43, and 0 are available. THe message I get when I try to open it is "This resource is not currently available on this device...." And compared

  • Prioritized commentary collection has "0 volumes" - Logos 9

I just setup a new computer, and installed Logos. While my resources are listed in the priority order that I had on the “old” computer, almost all of the series show 0 volumes, and so what Passage Guide shows is nowhere near what I expect. Example: NAC is my top prioritized commentary series, but no commentary from NAC (or any other series

  • Re: The future of Logos and Faithlife: Help us make the right decisions!

I looked at Equip and I could see the value IF I didn't already have the tools and if my church needed them. There might be an interesting market in church plants. We already have website, giving, and for less money, and they work. Like everyone says, changing is hard. A deal breaker in Equip is the Bible versions- we use a different one, and there

  • Search unexpected Results using operators

I'm searching in my top Bibles (NIV, AV, NIV84, LEB, ESV) for content/contentment. When I search for content I get 100 results (or content* I get 109). I observe this includes contentious and its variant which I do not want, so content* -contentious -contention I get 0 results, but I know there are verses with only the word "content". I've tried ANDNOT

  • Re: Link to a resource in biblical text

I know I asked this several months ago, and I presume I got it working. However, I am once again confused. I can create the link, but the next step eludes me. Do I need first to create a note, and then associate that with the text and somehow with the link? When I right click, here's what I see. Thanks.

  • Re: Attach Clipping

Thank you, Steve and Wild Eagle. And, toughski, yes, it would be extremely nice to have full functionality for clippings and notes. It would seem to be consistent with how everything works. Maybe my head works funny, but I often want to save the commentaries and resources that were helpful on a given text.

  • Link to a resource in biblical text

When I find a particularly useful section in a resource (like a commentary), I'd like to put a link in the Bible text to point to it. How can I do that?

  • Re: LogosCEF.exe chewing up lots of resources

Similar problem here.Win 8.1, i5 cpu, logos 6. I can't say if it's related to an update, but now the Logos home page /logoscef is chewing up significant CPU. No indexing, no updating going on, at least from looking at the system tray and tasklist. I called, but rep had no idea- sent me a generic page on optimizing use but this is happening when I'm

  • Highlighting "found" text

In working through a passage, I like to highlight words in a particular color- red for sin, blue for free, whatever. I can do a search just on that passage for each of the words in turn to see where it's used. It would be helpful, if, once found, I could "highlight" all those words "highlighted" by the search. I expect this question is already answered

  • Re: Suggestion: Library/Book Info (our review)

I would like this short review as a popup as described, AND (always want more) a way to have a link to something longer in that review. Short to quickly jog my memory- longer to stash away history, general comments, other reviews, etc.

  • Re: Gospel Harmonies and Parallels

M.J., that's pretty impressive help. Thank you so very much. BTW, your bug submission made me see why I might want to retitle some resources. A lot of work, but I can see why.

  • Re: Gospel Harmonies and Parallels

The resource does have an entry, or at least has a section for the passage. Or put another way, it does have an entry, or it has no entries at all! I think. And that doesn't explain why Aland is second, when it is clearly the highest ranked resouce in my priority list.

Sure. Here's my priorities list: And here's the result from a passage lis (I typed the results, then show the screen shot)t: -Aland "Synopsis" is first (Ihave it prioritized second) - Burton, Goodspeed, & Johnson is second (I don't even have this in my priorities) - Burton is third (not in my priorities) - Sharman is fourth (not in my list) - Eusebian

I would like the passage guide to list "harmonies" first that I have prioritized. However, it seems to have a mind of its own. Any suggestions?.(This is an old thread but closest to my question.)

  • Want to Stay Informed but too many emails

I like to keep up on what Logos is doing, but I'm getting too much and find myself tempted to ignore much of the emails I'm receiving. I do know about the subscription web page, and have tried to carefully select the "right" ones. However, I'm clearly getting overlapping information. Suggestions appreciated. FWIW, I'm subscribed to Company Updates,

  • Re: Search Forum Topics

Andrew & Rosie- that's definitely helpful. I use the site: search often, but hadn't explored others such as intitle. Thank you! Hey, Logos, if we could do it directly in the forum, the results would be more readable and in my opinion, more usable.

  • Re: BUG: Deleting layout on the right pane deletes saved layout

Definitely agree with the need for some kind of dialog before the last instance being deleted. I think there's some confusion on the second one: suppose I have 5 instances of a saved layout I'll call "MyOldLayout", and I am in another layout altogether I'll call "MyCurrentLayout". If I delete the most recent instance of MyOldLayout in the right pane
