I use the read-aloud feature (ESV) via the Logos app on my iPhone. It's very glitchy: Many times the reading won't start, I have to close the app several times and restart the reading before it will work. The reading speed control works until the reading spans chapters. Once the narration moves to a new chapter the speed is reset to 1x. Reading frequently

Perfect - thank you!

When I close L7 and reopen it, it now opens to the home screen. Previously it would open to the last used layout. When I switch back to library mode (or whatever it's called) the layout is blank. This just started happening in the last few weeks. Is this a bug or by design?

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to the Fire TV app.
-
Yes...an update on Fire TV would be great.
-
Nice, Thanks!

I know that there is a free version of Logos 6...I have heard that there is a free L7 coming...is that correct?

Wenham has a great quote with regard to the literal-ness of the days in Genesis 1: "... it is perilous to try to correlate scientific theory and biblical revelation...Rather, it is necessary to inquire more closely into the literary nature of Gen 1 and whether chronological sequence and scientific explanation are the narrator’s concern."

I'll throw in Wenham on Genesis. I spend an inordinate amount of time studying Genesis

Yeah clumsy to say the least. WS is like sabotaged software, it suffers terribly. I have had it for a long time and do not use it very often. Sad thing is I have a lot of resources in it - and many times they offer content @ very discounted prices and unavailable elsewhere. Their customer service is atrocious! I was actually insulted by a "tech support

It is a slippery slope, but necessarily mean they will slip. Hopefully the emphasis will be on discovering the riches of God's Word which I believe is the intent of the ad.

I can see how the wording could be disconcerting to someone. I felt the same way about the Passion of the Christ movie, seemed odd to watch a movie about our savior's torture and death while munching on popcorn and nachos. As far as the Logos sale goes, we are bound by human language. I've found that people in modern culture have really lost a sense

Thanks everyone for the replies. He's hesitant to buy since he's on a tight budget, but i think if i could get him started with the free resources and get him using Logos then that might change.
-
Hi...I have a friend that can't afford any of the base packages. What's the best way for someone on a very tight budget to get started with Logos?
-
I knew there had to be a setting that needed to be enabled, i just couldn't find it. Thanks for your help!

When I view the LHI on app.logos.com it displays the interlinear text fine. But on my desktop app the interlinear English text is missing.
-
Thanks everyone for the help!
-
Will do. Will someone post a reply once the issue is corrected on the Logos end of things?
-
That fixed it...Thanks so much for your help!

I missed the Logos.log file for some reason...it's attached now. I did play around with the sermon editor right before this problem started. I deleted the sermon that i created, I also just deleted any other sermons i created, i never really used the sermon editor, just played around with it.
