• Faithlife Connect - I'm out!

I paid for a year of 'Logos Now' in advance. You can't transfer me, it's a different product and not what I paid for. $200 a year for the full feature set? You guys seem to be making this stuff up as you go along, it' so irritating. I genuinely fear that I will one day wake up to find that faithlife is out of business. Regarding the image below; the

  • Clipping File Limitations

I love to use clippings in my initial research. Clippings is great for this as I can add a few basic notes to remind me of what originally captured my attention. However, I have a couple of issues; Highlighting - Clippings is quite capable of rendering highlights but because it is not a formatting option, I have to use a work around. I first create

  • Re: Future for Logos Web App
That is much more nuanced (and exciting) than just full feature parity with the desktop application.
From a user perspective that sounds more mysterious and non-comital. Do you actually mean nuanced, e.g. the same (parity) with a subtle difference or just following its own path? From an end user perspective

  • Re: Sermon Published without my permission
Mark, there was much discussion internally around this change. SoundFaith has proven itself to be a valuable sermon archiving resource and its integration with Sermon Editor makes it possible to utilize without any extra work. Most people won’t change the defaults and we really want people to get to use this feature. However

  • Boox M96 e-ink tablet

I'm wondering if anyone has used this e-ink reader with Logos. It says that it comes with Google Play Store. I really like the idea of the logos app runn on an e-ink device.

Thanks Greg. Shouldn't be that easy, I think a button would be more appropriate. It's like one of those opt in email things.

  • Sermon Published without my permission

I woke up this morning to find that whilst I was asleep my unfinished sermon was published to soundfaith without my permission. I was asleep at the time and so I know there's nothing I did. I have also never used soundfaith before.

  • Read aloud Greek audio New Testament

I recently read a blog posts by Morris Proctor called "How to Hear the Greek Text Read Aloud in Logos". I followed the instructions (below) but the option to read aloud does not appear. I do have the full Logos Data Set. Open a Greek Bible such as: ( A ) The Greek New Testament, Fifth Revised Edition (with Morphology) The Greek New Testament, Fourth

  • Re: How do you use Logos? How can we improve it?
how you'd like to see us improve it to meet your Bible study needs better.
By far my biggest gripe with Logos is notes. It's fine for annotations but note taking is so terrible that I generally transfer them to another app. The problem is first of all that they are clunky and just the process of scrolling

  • Re: Sermon editor Ugly formatting on export
Sorry about that... we're going to take a look at it. Ideally we'd just export the semantic H1, H2, value, etc. and let your style sheet in Word handle the formatting. Or rather, ideally we can make the editor good enough that you won't need to go to Word, and can just work in Logos. :-) What's missing to make that happen

The headings are massive, filling half a page
What version of Word are you using? When I export, they are a little large (26pt), but no where near a half page.
Actually, I had the paper on the wrong size but even so, it's super chunky. • Sermon editor Ugly formatting on export

I just decided to use sermon editor for the first time to prepare Sundays sermon and I'm regretting it. Everything was prepared and looked fantastic on Logos and then I decided to export. Wow, it's horrible. The headings are massive, filling half a page and the nicely boxed and formatted verses are now just plain old text. It would have been faster

  • Re: Anyone using Scrivener for Sermons?
Scrivener for iOS releases this Wednesday, and it looks and works great. Most important, it syncs (via Dropbox) with either the Mac or Windows version of the app.
Scrivener is now my favourite tool for prep and sermon delivery. Logos is great as a research tool but for notes and prep I need something a little different
