• Re: The Martyrs Mirror

Add me to the list as wanting to see this resource added. It's an incredible work, as is The Pilgrim Church.

Great. Let's keep encouraging Logos to make it happen!

  • Re: Is it just me, or...

Being a classical Pentecostal myself, I'd like to jump in and say that at our roots, the distinguishing feature is of course going to relate to "Pentecost" (i.e. the Day of Pentecost). A true Pentecostal is going to believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, or being filled with the Spirit (if you prefer), is subsequent to salvation and is not synonymous

Like a few others here, I'm not a huge fan of Swaggart (and I am a conservative Pentecostal). But I also think it was ridiculous to pair him off with Sproul, and I have been echoing for quite some time now what others in this thread have said - namely, that Logos needs to add more Pentecostal material to their offerings. The ratio of Reformed material

  • Re: Life in the Spirit New Testament Commentary

I completely agree, Stephen. This is, for lack of a better word, one of the two "holy grail" resources I'm hoping and praying Logos will get. The other is the companion to it, the "Life in the Spirit Study Bible" or it's twin brother, the "Fire Bible." Pretty please, Logos. I need these resources if I am to use the software to it's fullest. I honestly

Thanks, Terry. This really would be a dream come true should Logos decide to carry it.

  • Re: Faith Life Commentaries?
Another question. How does your commentary handle texts that have either a Reformed or Arminian interpretation? I am sure you have both groups represented on your team? Take for instance Romans 9. Would your commentary give both sides of the position or would it lean toward one side more than another? I personally am Reformed

Never mind. I may have been reading it wrong thinking there had been a quick update. Now I'm not as sure. Perhaps it's the same.

It's also available in the PC Study Bible now. The Fire Bible, that is. Not the Commentary.
Rich, How about including some journals such as Pneuma and Journal of Pentecostal Theology? Often my research takes me there, but I have no ready access. Thanks!
Those would be great Logos resources, so I cast my vote for both of these as well. And if you wanted to go "Old-School" I'd highly recommend Heritage Magazine

  • Re: Top Armenian based commentary on the book of Romans

By far the best Arminian-based commentary on Romans would be Adam Clarke's Commentary. Unfortunately it's been languishing in Community Pricing (in other words its unavailable at this time) for quite a while now.

Thanks, Rich! This is a huge help to have a specific Pentecostal forum here at Logos! My prayer is that it's filled up quickly with many threads discussing tons of new resources!! I want and need them and will post some of my 'wish list' items soon. Blessings, Gary

  • Who's your Go To Salesperson at Logos?

Just curious as to who people's favorites are. I've spoken to salespeople who were really helpful, and some who almost embarrassed me in terms of their lack of enthusiasm to help me. Of course I'm only asking for your thoughts on the former, not the latter. ;) Gary "I know there are a couple of 'legendary' salespeople in Logos - hopefully more are constantly

  • When will Logos create a way for Personal Books to sync...

so that they can be viewed on a 2nd computer without going through the hassle of thumb drive carry-overs and such? I hate going to all the trouble to create books that can't be viewed on my Office computer after creating them at home. Anyone know of a time-frame to make this work (assuming the cloud must be involved).
Hi, Gary, both Heritage and Paraclete would be excellent, high-quality additions as well. I also want to talk to some other actively published (yet to be named) journals to see if they're willing to talk as well. But I want to make progress on some of the older, defunct, low-hanging fruit before tackling the big asks

  • Re: Is it just me, or...

Rich, thank you so much for researching and trying to get the "Fire Bible" notes acquired for Logos. This is easily the top resource I want/need. If you guys can make that happen, I'll be indebted to you for life! Oh, and the "Full Life NT Commentary" was a Zondervan product, if that helps. ISBN 0310201187. Just about anything from GPH would also be
I frequently place a lowball bid on something I'm not really that interested in getting but might want to consider at a later date. I note, however, that I haven't even placed a lowball bid on this. Why? Well, it is really much to high priced as it now stands, but that isn't the reason. I would say that there are two reasons
