Success, this time the index rebuilt perfectly, with no halts. i'll now re-download the deleted files.
-
Thanks, I have deleted those files and I am now rebuilding the index. The drive is 256GB with 71GB free.
-
Thanks, here are my logs. 8117.Logos Log Files.rar

Ok I deleted those resources, started Logos offline, and ran the indexer again. It stopped at 57% as before.
4. Delete the following files: LLS:ZIBBCNT02, LLS:ZIBBCNT03, LLS:1.0.15, LLS:ZIBBCNT04
Ok first problem, I can't find those resources in my folder.

Thanks that's very useful, I appreciate the detailed response. I'll get to this today.

Yeah the disk space is the first thing I checked; 22GB free. Might be a bit low? 2273.LogosIndexer.rar

I ran it again and it stopped at 57% again. I installed this beta version to try and fix the indexing issue I was having with the main build (the rebuild index command wasn't working either). Unfortunately it hasn't solved the issue; the index is still stalling at about 57%.

Yes. It's completely counter-intuitive. As for differences in the way people view layouts, I would be very surprised if there's anyone out there who want Logos to change their layouts after they've set them up and saved them.
-
Thanks Rosie. If we can't rely on layouts remaining the way we designed them, it defeats the purpose of layouts in the first place.
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I removed the search target setting from both layouts; it made no difference, the layouts still change as before.
-
Maybe this is a bug, maybe it's just an incredibly badly thought out feature. I created a layout with this search, and saved the layout. Note I am searching the NRSV interlinear, and my secondary search text is the Lexham English Septuagint. I then created a different layout, with this search, and saved the search. Note I am searching the Qumran Biblical

I dispute the claim that Logos is selling Cadillacs, and that they don't make the best tools financially accessible to most people. The Logos Starter Package is US$294. On a 12 month payment plan, that's US$25 a month. Many people probably spend twice that on their hobbies, or at least that amount on some kind of entertainment subscription. The Starter

I read an article earlier this year entitled ' Five Reasons Not to Buy Logos '. I disagreed profoundly; my comments are here .

Ok, what happens is that after a while the books show as downloadable in the Android app, and you can press a button in the app to download them all.
You could try going into your desktop app and selecting your entire library then putting a check mark in the “download all to” box next to the appropriate device.
