Thanks to both Graham and Levi for your suggestions. I was able to get in touch with Logos and Rueben remotely closed /minimized a couple of other apps that I had open, opened Logos and it worked. I will definitely keep in mind the suggestions you have given me also. I thought I could keep those things open with 24 Gig of memory on my iMac. This is

Thanks Graham, does this help 5417.LogosLogs.ronwashington.20201023-141458.zip

When trying to start Logos on my 2017 iMac, it starts, then quits, with the message: "Logos quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple." Thank you, in advance, for any direction you can give to correct my issue. Ron

Thank you, gentlemen for your input. I thought (hoped) I might be overlooking something, but apparently not. Really appreciate the fellowship and help offered on this forum. Til next time, Ron

Thanks and sorry Dave. I should have noted that I am on a Mac. And perhaps should know what XPS means, but do not. Would you please explain. So far, the best that I have been able to do is print out the highlighted text on a color printer and then scan the document as a PDF and import into Notability. Any help/suggestions you have are welcome. Thanks

After I have highlighted a portion of scripture in a bible or other resource, is there a way to copy selected portions of my highlighted text someplace else as a collection of notes. Such as into Word, Notability, etc so that all I have is the portions of my highlighted text that I can use as notes. Thanks, in advance.

Thanks, Dave. While I may have more than one program open at he same time, it is very rare for more than one program to be actually processing at the same time. Would that reduce the benefit of the i7?

Thanks, Dan. I have been saving my pennies for a while now and was planning on going with the SSD, but was wondering, is it worth the extra $200 for the i7 cpu over the 3.8 Ghz i5? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, again Ron

Looking to purchase a new 2017 27" iMac. Is it worth the $200 to upgrade to the 4.2 i7 cpu from the 3.8 i5 for Logos? Thanks, Ron

Thanks, loads Mike. Just curious if my late 2013 15" MBP will drive a 27" 4k at 2560 x 1440 and if, at that resolution, it would be sharper than a typical 27" 1440 monitor. Thanks, again, Ron

Hey Mike, I see you are using a 4k display. May I ask what size monitor did you use before your 4k? I am considering monitor upgrade now and am considering a 1440, a 4k or a 5k. Also, are you using the 4k monitor at its native setting? And what size is your 4k? I am currently using a late 2013 MacBook Pro. Any helpful input would be gratefully appreciated

Likewise I can confirm that Copy works in the "Copy Bible Verses" panel, but not "Copy and Paste".

Still not syncing here. Says, "error occurred during synchronization." Also, cannot get to the logos.com web site.

Morris makes available a book that includes all of the new additions included in L6. I believe it is $19. You can check his website mpseminars.com Ron

CMD+P (Print/Export) also works on a Mac.

Just a quick update. I took the leap this afternoon. Upgraded to L6 Platinum from L5 Platinum, plus a bit more. Went beautifully. From start to finish took less than 1 hour. Was back up and finishing prep for Sunday. Thanks to all for input and suggestions and for the Logos, er, Faithlife team for a great product. RPW

Thanks, Alabama. I understand that, just trying to find if there are some consistencies. Ron
-
Very interesting. Certainly thank you gents for piping in here. Are there any on this forum with late 2013 macs or later who HAVE HAD the problem? Ron
-
You guys are giving me hope. It sounds like your machines are of similar vintage to mine and are not having the problems. Like you said Alabama, it would really nice to know the various specs of the machines experiencing the problems. Ron

Thanks, Don. Since this is my only current computer running, I didn't want to run into any snafus that I might be able to avoid while preparing for this week. I am very curious what percentage of users are experiencing problems with the large downloads. It seems like that is the only problem affecting logos. RPW
