Thanks for the link Lyndon. I basically followed method three but decided to completely uninstall Logos after I had backed up the resources. Following the process outlined plus copying the resources back worked well. I decided to uninstall because I had fiddled with the registry and there were Logos folders in three different places. All good now. Thanks

G'day Lynden, Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, that wouldn't work for me because Logos was wanting to do the download when it was restarting and when I cancelled the download Logos wouldn't restart. So, I cheated and had a look in the registry and changed the install directory from the AppData folder back to the program folder. And, then it

It looks like it is wanting to start a whole new library in AppData/Local/Logos5 and is ignoring the data that is already in the Logos5 program folder. Ken

After updating my Logos wants to download my complete library (6Gb) again. My Logos folder is about 9.5Gb so I can't see why it needs to download everything again. Just what I don't need when I'm trying to do sermon preparation. Is there anyway to avoid having to redownload the library? Ken

G'day Dave I checked in Action Centre : Problem Reports. The error has happened 100 times since 10 December. Most of those times the app wasn't running or paused in the background. Today the error occurred every hour since I turned on my computer at about the same time (13 mins past the hour). I checked in Task Manager and neither the app nor backgroundTaskHost

Or could it be that LogosBibleSoftware.Bible_1.1.0.1_x86__h0wrhs0ttj2c8 starts up OK, does its thing and then doesn't exit properly so that backgroundTaskHost reports it as an error? Any other wild guesses? :-)

Dave The More Information link takes me to a Page Not Found on TechNet. A search for backgroundtaskhost.exe didn't turn up anything useful. backgroundTaskHost.exe is part of syswow64. Could there be a 32bit component of Logos that doesn't play well with Win8.1 64bit? Ken

  • Re: Error events on Win8.1

Dave The error is happening when neither the desktop program nor the start/metro app are running. Tonight the error occurred six times while I was away from the computer and neither program nor app was running. Both will start normally. Thanks Ken

Are Logos any closer to a WP8 app? I'm aware of other Bible apps for WP8 but I have too much invested in Logos to start buying the same resources from another source. So I'm still hoping Logos will look after its long-term users. Ken

Scott, Any chance of getting the option to turn off the red text. I dislike it on principle and also find it harder to read. Thanks Ken
