ets that were downloaded were an update to the previous sets. But an update isn't normally necessary for Bible Facts (Logos 5) to work. Are you running Logos 4? What version?
I'm running Logos 5.2 Beta 3. May be L5 came to life on the 2nd boot. Don't know, but once I downloaded the new datasets it worked brilliantly

Thanks for your replies. There is a download that came which was about 12-13 meg and when Logos restarted, it was all back to normal. So it seems that the update also needed a resource update to function correctly. Could this be correct?

These are not appearing from the right click menu on a word in the Bible.

  • Baptism: a Biblical Study by Jack Cottrell

This recently released pre-pub book will not show page numbers in the text itself. They will appear in a search window and also in the interface architecture. There is no selection check box either to show page numbers. I'm not sure whether this is book related or related to the beta version. I cannot see why a new book will show the page numbers outside

  • Logos 5.1 Beta 7 Syncing Issue

Since Beta 6, the program has shown sync errors. I believe this was to be fixed in beta 7, however, it still has those same errors showing. Does anyone else have this problem?
Im unsure what you are wanting. Can you explain a bit more?
Say, for example, you are wanting to search for an English word in your entire library. It will search your content as well. You notice you have two notes where that word has been found. When you click on the note in the search pane, it brings the note forward

  • Search highlights in Notes, please!

Search highlights in notes would be very valuable since many of my notes are very long. How hard would it be to implement? Is it because notes are of a different format?

  • Re: Clause Search the Old Testament

Thank you all. Update resources did the trick. Funny though, as I did have it and could open it through Library. Perhaps, it was an incomplete or faulty download.

  • Clause Search the Old Testament

Is this possible? I had L4 Scholar's edition and did the full "crossgrade" to L5. However, only the SBLGNT shows in the list of available resources to search - meaning, I'm restricted to the New Testament. Is there something else I need or is this a clitch in my system?
I get a large black border
Here is what I mean - and it only happens with Logos. My first attempt at recording Logos opeing a floating window and using Camstudio caused me to have the whole screen flash green & yellow until I managed with some difficulty to log out of windows in which case the flashing stopped.
I am thinking of upgrading my Bible software and would welcome advice.
I use BW9 as well as having upgraded to L5 using the crossgrade option. When I purchased L4, I bought the Scholar's package. Frankly, IMO, Logos beats the rest "hands down". I think it is so far out in front now I wouldn't consider using other

  • 5a Beta Open floating windows to last customised position!

Please, please, please can we have the Library window, Bible Facts, Timeline, Sense Lexicon et al. open at the LAST position in which they were opened. This was inplemented in Documents & Guides drop down menus, so PLEASE can we have floating windows open to where they were last resized! Thank you. Thanks Logos for some wonderful innovative software

  • 5a Beta 2 Black borders & black screen

When opening Bible facts or any window that is a floating window, I get a large black border. If I select the main window and go back to the floating window the border is back to the normal haze. However, I cannot even "print screen" to paste a picture here as it only shows the floating window with the Logos main window totally black.

  • Re: What "Soon" means or at least approximately means would be helpful.
I know nothing is set in stone, but if I'm reading Phil's post correctly, the lowest cost will be around $150 for everything. I was hoping that "everything" for the crossgrade will be no more than $100. However, if the crossgrade includes resources and that increases the price, then I understand why it would be more. What

If anyone is interested, I have found what I consider the best crossword puzzle maker around. What's more, it is a breeze to incorporate into a church bulletin/newsletter. Furthermore, it does not have to be ink heavy and can use a minimal amount of boxes to suit. Check it out at http://www.eclipsecrossword.com/ However, it would be even better if Logos

  • Construct a Crossword puzzle

I have started to use the word find puzzle to add some interest in our church bulletin, but I'd like something that would cause the young people (the majority of those who to the word find puzzle) to be thinking more when they do the exercise. A crossword puzzle, I think, would be of great interest and help teach our people at the same time.
