No. At least for now Logos plans on supporting both formats. Of course eventually they will want to transition, but for now they are still supporting Libronix 3. However, some of the new resources from the new collections have not been released in 3.0 yet - their focus is on 4.0. They should eventually come out, but they are pretty busy now.
-
Now, unfortunately no. In the future, yes. Once you have your library installed, you can hide a resource and it will delete it from your computer and keep it from being installed on any of your computers until you specifically tell it to come back. The thing is that in order to Hide a resource, your setup needs to know about the resource.

Hey, Seven minutes after you posted, I pointed you to a way to avoid having to DL all the 9 GB the second time.
Spoke to a Customer Service person today, and though she was really nice, she made comments that really concern me. According to her, I cannot point Logos 4 to my Logos 3 Resources. I also will not be able to backup my Logos 4 Resources but will need to re-download the entire 9.8Gigs when I also install this on my laptop
I can see Calvin's Commentaries in the library. I cannot, however, seem to find it as a commentary in my passage guide. Is this an issue with the older files?
Take a look at the Calvin Commentaries in My Library. Check to see what resource TYPE they are. My guess is that it is listed as a Monograph instead of a

Not a official Logos answer, but it appears that "New" means that the resource has not been in a Base Collection before. Some have been around for various amount of time, others are items that were still waiting on Pre-pub.

I would go to the horse's mouth on this one: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/3223/24523.aspx#24523 How much it can do without the "controlled vocabulary" I do not know. Logos lets you try this for free, even if they do encourage you to buy more resources. If you are not satisfied with just the engine upgrade because it can't do what you want, then

What you say you are doing SHOULD work. But even searching the help file is a search. Have you finished indexing? The following is what I got for clippings.
-
For your first concern, I don't know. While I have not done so, it was my understanding that Logos 4 will allow you to install to the directory of your choice. The program is integrated with the resources enough that it will want to put the "program" and "data" in the same directory tree, but other than that, I thought there was a fair amount of flexibility
-
I know your are exagerating, but first of all, even while indexing, you CAN use Logos 4 resources for just about anything you can use the dead tree versions. On any reasonably modern computer, indexing should be done by tomorrow. Also, you can use Libronix 3.0f while you wait if you need more than just reading. Trust us, the final results will be worth

As Logos explained it to us, it is kinda a Microsoft WFC issue. The part of .net they are using for the interface makes printing difficult. There are evidently work arounds that they will do, but the priority has been on getting the base stable rather than printing stuff out.
-
In the Beta we asked about this and never were told to do this. While I suppose in THEORY it could work, I wouldn't do it personally. Logos 4 is designed to manage all of this, and while initial setup is time consuming, I don't like the idea of short-cuts that could give wacky results.
-
NOT at all recommended, but last week when Logos was releasing most of the logos4 files for us beta testers, I stopped the DL by clicking on the icon in the Windows taskbar, and after I restarted Logos 4, the new files I had downloaded were inserted into my library. You should be able to turn the internet off at this point to avoid cap issues. So, you

Just an educated guess, but what about lang:Espanol ?
Thanks everyone for the help. Another question. What if I did a clean install of L4 on a new computer...will ALL my resources minus PBB be downloaded from Logos' servers (old E4 files, Galaxie file and files from other companies whose resources I own)?
Logos says that is the goal. Logos 4 will find the file and send

There was, uh, heated discussion about how to handle the various canons. I think what Logos is trying to do is base the canon upon the bible text you are using for the search, and this seems to be there for built in search ranges for Bible Search. To be honest, I had never used the visual "Graph results". It certainly appears that the result map report

Re: your wishlist. I never saw anything like those features you describe during the beta process Your three questions: 1) Reading lists are created by whoever wants to. Logos employees have given some very good ones as examples, but anyone can add a new one or modify an existing one. So, it depends on us in many ways for how much will be added. 2) Reading

With version 3, in order to install missing resources, Libronix needs to see a copy of the resource. You can either find these resources from CD's and DVD's, or else go to ftp.logos.com and DL the files you want. When you restart Libronix, it will take some time to discover resources, especially from a DVD, but once it does, you should be set if you

Unfortunately this does not sound unreasonable. Are you running the Mac Alpha, or the Windows release?
I tried to change the order of the Lectionary and Topical reading list ... only to have them disappear completely.. I did succeed in changing the default Bible but that's all that went as planned. Anyone mastered this yet? Thanks.
Darn. I thought that this bug was gone. Back in about Beta 4 I had this problem, but after
