Yes, thanks!

MJ, I appreciate your taking the time to provide a detailed and thoughtful response, and I apologize if offended you. I wasn't trying to win an argument here - I was just trying to articulate my sense for where the issues lie when seen from the Protestant perspective. That's why I tried to use words like "I think", "issue for most Protestants," "seems

Certainly the original focus of the phrase "mother of God" was christological - it was an assertion that Mary's son was God, incarnate, and not just another good Jewish boy. I think the issue for most Protestants is twofold: The distinction between "worship" and "veneration" seems a bit artificial and, at least looking in from the outside, there doesn

Thank you for sharing a positive experience - that's something we should all do more of.

Honestly, I don't understand how Faithlife and the publishers can afford to keep offering as many free books as they do - but I'm very, very grateful that they're doing it.
-
I also like the idea of a separate platform. If I'm not mistaken, there's already an "edition" tag that distinguishes between: Logos eBook User Created My suggestion, if FaithLife were to pursue this, would be to add "Self Published" as another value for the "edition" tag. That would identify self-published works as a fourth kind of resource, separate

That's great news!
But beyond this, I'd like to suggest that you slow down a bit on the EMPHATIC affirmations and sinister declarations with text formatting to boot. You did not understand what was happening with the asterix, that's quite okay. It has now been explained to you. Perhaps this could conclude with "ah sorry, I did not know that, good

Yes, please! Many of us could use just a bit more humor in our lives.

Thank you very much, Calvin!

I truly appreciate the generosity of FaithLife and the various publishers behind the books they periodically offer for free.
Take care brothers and sisters. Let us pray for each other during this time.
Amen to that.

Are you working from home now when you used to work in an office? Yes. I'm fortunate in that I can work from home, so my income hasn't been affected. The timing was odd, because I'm in the process of changing jobs. Going to work for a new employer - while working remotely - is something I've never done before. Working from home has its advantages.
-
I second this recommendation. Even broad categories like this would be helpful when navigating a large library.
-
This is very generous of FaithLife. I'm deeply appreciative of all of the free deals they've provided over the years.

Our congregation is very small. We had intended to hold services as usual this coming Sunday, and simply ask anyone who had been exposed to the virus to stay home. However, late this afternoon we learned of a member who is exhibiting symptoms consistent with the coronavirus, and who tested negative for the flu. He has been tested for COVID-19 but the
Okay, shall we start campaigning for an Anabaptist package to be released with Logos 9? The Restorationists can stage a counter-demonstration and we'll all win!
That's an idea I can get behind!

This would be very helpful for those of us who are less familiar with these ancient writers.

Way cool!

As I recall, this used to work before the last major website redesign. I guess it's not that big of a deal, but I'd like to see it fixed. It was handy to be able to sort your community pricing bids by progress to see how they were coming along.
