Gonzalez has some titles on Vyrso.com, too https://vyrso.com/products/search?Author=9484%7cJusto+L.+Gonzalez including an "Essentials Guide" book on church history (on sale for $.99 - what a steal!): https://vyrso.com/product/39092/church-history-an-essential-guide and some of his works on the history of Christian Thought. I have found Justo Gonzalez' Story of Christianity to be a very good general survey of church history. I don't believe it's available in Logos (which is a shame, because I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it were), but is available on Amazon. It's a two volume work, but there is a paper version that has both volumes bound together. Gonzalez covers the early
I know that Google does not do a fuzzy search. But the fact that I can find something I'm looking for in Google when I can't find it in Logos means I'm turning to Google more often when I ought to be able to stay in Logos to do such searches. And if Logos brought back its fuzzy search from L3 then I wouldn't have to resort
You may have a point there. Why not a Chinese restaurant type menu: Pick x from group A, y from group B and z from group C?
I would love this. If the difference in price between resources is too much of an obstacle, it could be done in dollars rather than number of resources. In other words, pick up to $x from group

  • Re: Logos by Subscription?

My only interest in a rental option would be for expensive, voluminous reference materials that I would use once in a blue moon. In other words, the kind of materials that I would be unlikely to ever buy in paper format, but might go to a university library for if I had a special research project. For me, examples might be: Collections of theological

No, I don't feel that Logos has harmed me. Stuff happens, we fix it and go on.
If you encounter a new word, look it up, and then need to use it in a paper, you wouldn't normally reference the dictionary you used, would you? The usability of a dictionary like this depends on whether it includes entries your other dictionaries don't have, or better entries than they have, or perhaps entries from a particular time

Thanks, Bruce. I'm still not sure it's for me, but I can see how someone might mine it for illustrations or anecdotes.

I'm curious why folks seem to see this resource as particularly valuable. One thing I do with older materials offered under Community Pricing is to search my library to see if any of the resources I already have reference it. When there are a lot of hits it seems reasonable to assume that adding the resource would be useful. Of course, just because

But I do not agree that pre-defined tags should not be offered by LOGOS. Yes, I am glad the Logos community is working on a project to make pre-defined tags. I am very happy about that. BUt
