  • Re: LOGOS BIBLE SOFTWARE INCREDIBLY SLOW

By "indexing" Chris means that there should be a blue Logos icon in the upper right hand of the Mac screen. Logos will be slow until the indexing is finished.

I really don't use the software much beside doing my devotions on it. I just talk on the forums.

If you float the pane you can resize the window and mess around with the columns a little.

If you click the blue icon that looks like a house in the upper left hand portion of the screen twice does that do it?

  • Re: Why less women?

This is not to say that women can't learn the finer points of Logos at all. They certainly can. Before I did say that I don't think as many women are into computers and this type of Bible software as men are. They just like different things and at this point study the Bible differently. I am just throwing out the statement that someone made that Logos

[quote user="T. L. Brown"] Hello Logos forum, I am considering purchasing the New International Commentary series but I'd like to find out if anyone that has used it has found it useful enough to justify the price. I'm willing to invest in my craft but I want to make wise choices. What makes it worth the money...even at the discounted price? Thanks

  • Problem bringing Logos up from the dock

If I minimize Logos into the dock, when I click on the icon Logos does not run. It just stays stuck in the dock. I have to two-finger tap on the icon and open it from there. None of my other programs do this. Does anyone else have this problem?

I would be more than happy with a Topic Search that searches through all your books or a collection before any of this other stuff.

Yes it seems to be working now for some odd reason. Figures, as soon as I send my logs it begins to work. Thanks for the help.

The computer doesn't sound like it is humming, but the % CPU seems to be jumping from 30 to 80 to 99 to 130. 580 MB of real memory is being utilized.

You can't get the academic packages in Logos software or a certain type of academic class you want to take at your seminary?

  • Indexer Stuck

Since the recent update last night of what I thought was the SBLGNT, my indexer has been stuck at four hours. I deleted the KJV1900.logos4, KJV1900OT.lbsrvi, NASB95.logos4, and NASB95OT.lbsrvi files, entered the command Update Resources, and restarted Logos. I got a few updates, tried to reindex, but the indexer stops at four hours. I am running 4.2a

I'm starting a new thread in the Mac Beta forum. I deleted the books you told me to, ran update resources, got updates, but the indexer still stops at four hours. Been doing this for a few hours.

[quote user="Dan Pritchett"]The interesting thing is that 27% of our Facebook fans are women, but only 7% of our actual customers are women. A few people have mentioned here and on Facebook, that they feel it is because our market is pastors, and fewer women are pastors. So let me throw a wrench into the spokes there... surprisingly enough, only 16

I am assuming you downloaded updates and that supposedly slowed it down? If not I don't see how not using L4Mac for a couple of weeks could slow it down.
