If the about box says 4.0b and doesn't say "beta" in it, then you are essentially on the stable channel. If your update channel is set to default, and the version in the about windo doesn't indicate

    There have been more than a few posts over the months since we shipped our first non-beta/alpha release asking about how to get off the beta channel. Well, now is your chance. If you've been on the beta channel and you don't want to be any more, run the following command in the command box: set update channel to default then run this one: update now
