Thanks for the feedback. This is a shortcoming we plan to address soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regardless of the bug which prevented the sync every 15 minutes, I think 15 minutes is too long. 5 minutes is the maximum, I think - and perhaps an additional sync a minute before the warm-up, and again a minute before the service start.
I agree, we're discussing this now.
-
You're right Mark, I believe I've tracked it down. When the app goes idle we reset the sync download interval to 60 minutes. I found a bug that was preventing it from being reset to 15 when the app came out of idle. Thanks for the detailed report and logs.

How is the computer connected to your display? In my experience delays like this are often related to a cable or adapter.
-
On each slide change yesterday, there was a 2-3 second delay from the slide change from the main projector to the slide change on the TV. The TV screen would go black for each slide change, and then slowly reveal the slide.
What's your Internet connection speed like? Slowly revealing the slide sounds like a slow download

Thanks for letting us know Pastor Becker!
-
Ok - thanks... so your iPad is no longer connected to the internet, and just linked to that computer, right?
Sort of , Proclaim still tries to use the Internet connection to broadcast slide changes (so things like the Logos app can follow signals) but it's not necessary for the remote to change slides.
I have noted your instructions on going to local WiFi mode - how is that different from the usual remote app operation?
In local WiFi control mode your iPad will communicate directly with the machine in the booth, over your local WiFi network. Therefore there's no dependency on Faithlife servers for slide rendering
It's time to quit asking questions and start resolving. Its been going on long enough, and has been widely enough reported, that the issue should be resolvable by now. Please fix this!
Myke, I'm very sorry for the disruption you experienced this Sunday. We have been working to resolve this issue and unfortunately

Faithlife servers used by the Proclaim Remote and following Signals were slow or intermittently unavailable during the 8-9am PST window. We have been actively working to address the increase in load and this Sunday exposed a different bottleneck than the previous Sunday. I'm very sorry for the disruption. We have a plan for resolving this issue before
So This was posted over three years ago. Why don't you have the ability to add chords and other notes to the confidence monitor?
Hi Robert, sorry for the misleading comment in 2015. We have done a round of improvements to the confidence output since then but showing chords didn't make the cut. It is however still

Just an update, we're making good progress on this! Thanks again for your patience.

Hi Nick, we've just gotten back to signage yesterday. We're starting with integrating a crash reporting tool for the Fire TV app. Next up, we'll investigate the video issue. Thanks for your patience!
Bumping in the hope of attracting Faithlife's attention! Come on, this seems like such a simple improvement for those who print.
Done. Thanks for the feedback Mark.

I was able to confirm the issue with videos on the Fire TV stick. The issue can also be reproduced by playing the sign feed directly in the Silk browser application on the device. I'm hoping it's just a codec issue that we can work around by making different format available but I haven't had a chance to look further. Sorry for the delay, it's on our

I found the code. Proclaim should sync down changes every 15 minutes, even if it doesn't have local changes, assuming the app hasn't gone idle. If you attach the logs from the presenting laptop I can diagnose further.
-
I was under the impression that Proclaim would attempt to sync down changes every five minutes when the app is not idle, regardless if there are local changes. However, looking at the code I'm not seeing it. I'll do some more investigation this afternoon. Thanks for the report Mark.

I'm using Chrome on a desktop computer. The Fire TV app is using the built-in browser (Silk) to display the same page. It does appear to be having issues with all videos. Still investigating... One known issue - motion backgrounds (Video media used in non Video service Items) will not animate. They just display the first video frame.
-
Hello Nick, I'm able to reproduce the issues you're describing. They seem to be specific to the Fire TV app as I'm able to view the videos in the web browser just fine. Will report back here after our investigation. Thanks for reporting!
I could use a countdown video - but I want to be able to show timers of around 10 seconds which, as far as I know, we can't currently do with the countdown videos
You can use the video playback offset feature to trim down a longer countdown video to 10 seconds.
