Any plans to expand this tool to include OT/OT and NT/NT intertextual relationships?
More like inklings of ideas than plans at this point.

The bug in this thread has been fixed, is in testing now, and will appear in a resource update soon. (I did not also add Enoch data, just fixed the bug.) Thanks again!

Thanks for the report! I tested it out a little, and it seems like it's working as designed with regard to Corpus. From the About: The books selected for the visualization are any books in the current filter set that are either source or target (either OT or NT) for an intertextual relationship. So, if you filter down to New Testament , don't be surprised

I concur. :D

Ah, my mistake. Carry on!
Shouldn't it be: User Series title OR Series abbreviation (new metadata added to commentary resources); OR Series title OR Resource abbreviation (if no series, eg, single-volume commentaries) OR Resource title where a User created series title trumps all?
I reckon that's in with "Series title" now, but I see your

Kevin is correct. The dataset I'm visualizing only has NT to OT data. You can also consult resources of type:Bible Harmony . We've made quite a few that stretch the traditional definition of parallel passages to include broader allusions.
when I click on a book in the Apocrypha to try to get a search of all the NT books that link to it, nothing comes up.
That's a bug, which I'll look into ASAP. Apocryphal books should behave just like any other OT book does. (Barring any unforeseen issues, I should be able to copy over the links to Enoch while I'm at it.)
-
Question : why are there no intext linkages with Enoch? Not even allusions/echos, or the citation in Jude 14-15 ?
I used the "NT use of the OT" dataset, which doesn't include those. I'd like to; I believe there are linkages in the Ancient Literature dataset, but I didn't farm any links from there.

... and to be clear, you shouldn’t have to change your preferred Bible, just the resource parameter in the Search panel.
-
By design, actually. It’s using the last setting of the panel. The search link in the interactive doesn’t set the resource in the search because (other) users get frustrated, eg, if you wanted the Greek NT but I keep forcibly setting it to your preferred Bible. Plus, many of these intertext sets have Catholic Bible refs in them, so we’d

Oops. Hiya, MJ!

Thanks! These are great suggestions. You could add them to https://feedback.faithlife.com and invite others to vote for them.
Are you already planning to expose this new metadata as a column in the Library panel shortly (like Abbreviated Title), or should I add that request to feedback.faithlife.com?
Technologically speaking, it's a resource "trait" so probably part of if/when we expose those to the library, but I haven't heard about this one
Because the shortcut folders are text only rather than an icon, it actually takes up more space!!
Understood (and agree). The text-only constraint for folders was the simplest thing that could possibly work, anticipating the possibility that people might want more. That's on our list of things to keep an eye on as

That's a bug. Reported, thanks!
Can someone explain to me what drives how the commentary titles appear in the new guides?
Sure! It uses (in order): Series abbreviation (new metadata added to commentary resources); OR Series title OR Resource abbreviation (if no series, eg, single-volume commentaries) OR Resource title We are judicious in
Wow that is a detailed explanation! I definitely feel dumber now though I do understand it better enough not to use it :) In all seriousness, thank you. Seems a little advanced for me though
Ha! Please don't feel dumber, just file it under "nerd stuff". I agree it might be useful to add some of that ramble to the About

FWIW, it's a brand tie-in with all the Faithlife products that have (green) tricolor bands. I'll pass this feedback along.

I remember when there were only a few buttons up there, and the design challenge was to make it not look so empty! But that was a long time ago. It's grown over time, and user space for shortcuts has definitely gotten squished from both sides. (Shortcut folders helps, though, I hope.) Anyway, we're taking a look at the main application bar right now
