When the morph query service isn't used for awhile, it will go to sleep, as it were, and the next time the service gets used it takes it awhile to start up again. We are looking into improving the experience.
Still present and working in RC1 on laptop but all four are missing from desktop which I just updated from v7.0 to RC3. Is there a story other than another update nuking my queries?
I'm sorry for the document loss. I'm afraid you got bit again by the bug in the morph query document upgrade path between 7.0 beta and
The first query is "Does not exist" on a column that Agrees on Language, Case, Number and Gender. What is the effect of "Does not exist" on the Agreement for an article to be in the results? e.g. NOT agree , disagree on at least one of 4 terms.
In your first query, the article is "within 4 words" of the participle
The first query in my original post is the Anarthrous query. What is the effect of "Does not exist" on the Agreement for an article to be in the results?
When you say "do not exist" on a column that "disagrees on language" you are effectively doing the same query as if you didn't have that column in the first place

Details. The current verse results view assumes one row per verse and combines multiple results into a single verse with color highlighting for each result. The morph query results are different in that the color corresponds to the columns in the query, so it needs a separate row for each result
Please see this thread for the background. 1. The query I eventually came up with is This gave 459 results in 445 verses. I had been expecting a result in Rev 7:1 , but none were listed after Jude 12 . Changing the range to 10 words gave 479 in 482, with the difference due to results spanning verses, but it showed many results
That worked, so there would be two issues? It is not reassuring when the document disappears (briefly) after clicking 'Search'!
There's a bug that can happen when changing resources when columns have some options set—the option can appear to go away but still be hidden and affect the results. Unfortunately the fix

Thanks for the report. We'll fix it.

Dave, Try removing both columns and adding them back and see if it works. Scott

If you wait a couple minutes then close and reopen the morph query, does it work? This is probably a known issue with the server that we will be resolving soon.

I'm sorry about the document loss. If it's any consolation, the document format is much more stable since 7.1.

I can replicate your behavior—it's the same engine. "Segments" is used when there is a Hebrew or Aramaic text the resource list. If I had selected just "SBLGNT" then it would be "Words". Also note that when you say something like "within 1 word" with 3 columns checked, it would always return zero results. Rather than returning nothing, the engine effectively

Thanks for the report. We are updating the UI and will make sure this is fixed.

Right now surface matches are exact. It is on our list to add options for case insensitivity and different match levels for marks such as the text search has. See https://wiki.logos.com/Search_Matching_Commands For now you can indicate all of the exact forms with separate tags.

We have tried to make the morph query documents compatible throughout the beta cycle updates. There may have been a case here or there on where there could have been a problem with the transition. However, if you run into an issue after creating a new document, please let me know the details.

This is how I would find the phrase "Jesus Christ" that is not preceded by "Lord". "Does not exist" is a bit tricky, because it will find: A) results that assume the existence of a word that does not match the criteria as well as B) return results where there is no word at all in that space. I realize that is subtle, so here is an example to help clarify

Hi Clint, Thanks for the feedback! I agree—this would be a very handy feature to add. We will investigate adding it. Kind regards, Scott

Clint, Thanks for the report. This is a bug. We will fix it. Kind regards, Scott

Sorry about the broken links! The way I like to think about it is that the number "within N words" means that you have a window of N words that all of the columns have to fit into. If you have 3 columns a morph grid document, then the window has to be at least 3 words wide to fit 3 distinct words. Likewise if you have 5 columns, you will need a window

The decision to use "within 2 words" as adjacent came out of this discussion: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/128603.aspx specifically https://community.logos.com/forums/p/128603/835862.aspx#835862
