Hi Ronald, It blesses me more than you know whenever I hear a man get excited about studying the Bible inductively! We need more men who are committed to hearing the Lord's words directly from Him through His Word by His Holy Spirit. True expository preaching of the Word is lacking - and that is because true inductive study is
Based on my experience, the PUPs that are based on entire books of the Bible are still using the old methods. The Topical studies, not so much.
That's good to know, thanks John. My wife and I have been introducing ourselves to the method via the "Teach me to study the Bible in 28 days" book. We planned on going into
One of the things that has changed is that the discipline expected, the commitment required, and the work itself has been diluted. Unfortunately, and I think at least partially due to the popularity of these shorter and "easier" courses themselves, the ministry does not seem to be heading back to their original standards.[/quote

  • Revised EBC question - Introductory Articles

Anybody know if they plan on doing a revision to the Introductory Articles volume with the Revised EBC? I've been reading through the introductory articles in the EBC and absolutely love them, but I'd be even more excited for some updated versions seeing as that volume is from 1979.

  • Suggestion: iPad/(iPhone?) Bible Navigation

I thought I'd put this here as well to see if it gets more traction than in the Suggestions forum: Huge disclaimer: I've never used the iPhone app, so if something like this has already been implemented, please forgive my ignorance. With that background, it may seem to make little sense as to why I would be making a suggestion regarding the iPad app

Huge disclaimer: I've never used the iPhone app, so if something like this has already been implemented, please forgive my ignorance. With that background, it may seem to make little sense as to why I would be making a suggestion regarding the iPad app, but here's the deal: I was sitting in church this morning, using library.logos.com on my Blackberry

Yay! It's not just me! I reported this back with 4.0b RC2 (I'm not running the beta), but nobody else could reproduce it: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/13242.aspx I haven't done much in the library since, so I will have to go try again and see if it is still happening to me.
Is it something you'd always want -- a highlighted note/highlight in one rev int capable Bible automatically showing in all of them? Or something you'd want to turn on note by note, or version by version?
Might be relatively simple to please both camps by attaching the functionality to two different hotkey sequences

I have the same issue on my BB. My Prioritized Bibles are: ISV, KJV, NASB, NIV, NET. When I go to a passage on library.logos.com (and I am logged in by the way) it randomly chooses between NKJV or NLT...neither of which are in my prioritized Bible list.

The biggest problem here is there is not always a direct correlation between different words in different Bibles...especially if they use different underlying manuscripts. As an extreme (slightly ridiculous) example, if you highlight a word or passage in the Message, how can it properly transfer that highlight to Young's Literal? I don't see this being
