  • Re: Nexus 7 Help!!!

David, After you finish installing and signing into the app for the first time please give it some time to finish updating your library. After initial sign in the app is very busy downloading the initial online content to show in the read pane, downloading your favorites, notes, highlights, last read positions, etc, and downloading your library contents

How much free space do you have on your device? I'm wondering if it's failing to unzip and install some content post install.

  • Hebrew vowel point alignment fixed in Android 4.2

An often reported issue is the misaligned vowel points in hebrew text in the Android apps. This issue has been addressed at a system level in the latest release of Android (4.2) . Hopefully the number of Android devices running 4.2 will grow quickly and hardware and mobile providers will upgrade existing devices to this latest version of Android. If

  • New Android Beta forum

We have created a new Android Beta forum specifically for testing and providing feedback related to beta releases of the Android apps. From now on I'll post new Android beta announcements in the Android Beta forum. We officially dropped Android 2.1 support when we released the 2.0 versions of the apps. For user convenience we continued to publish the older / unsupported 1.4 versions of the apps for Android 2.1 devices even though we no longer officially supported it. Our intention was to continue to make these available until such time that they were no longer

I confirmed that the latest version is uploaded to the Amazon Appstore and verified that installing from the Appstore on a Kindle Fire 1st gen device installed version 2.2.3 as expected. Thanks for the report and duplication instructions. I believe this helps explain some of the crash reports we've received but have been unable to duplicate without some additional context. As a side note for those following along. If any Android app crashes and it was installed from Google Play it does help if you put a description of what you were

See the FAQ for details. The device must be running Android 2.2 or later. Access to either the Google Play store, Amazon Appstore for Android. If the device does not have access to the Google Play store or Amazon appstore you can install the app via our direct download links, but we aren't officially testing/supporting devices in that category. Jeff, How are you "closing" the app? If by closing you mean simply going back to the home page or opening another app it's possible that the Bible app continues to run in the background. In this case "opening" the Bible app would simply be reactivating it and would immediately show you the last location you were reading. On Android 4.0+ devices you

As far as Kindle Fire HD vs Google Nexus 7 goes I would strongly recommend the Nexus 7. It's a wonderful device at a really great price and is ideally suited for reading. Also since it's a "Nexus" device it's very likely to be among the first set of devices to recieve future Android updates thus extending the lifetime and usefulness of the device. Also
