Thomas: Thx for the response. Yes, I did try the reboot but that did not solve the problem. I had thought about posting the log, but wasn’t sure if it would show anything. So, here ‘tis … hopefully you can see something in here. I tried several times to drag and drop a named layout to the tool bar and nothing. Then I actually clicked and opened a layout

Thx for duplicating that. You did exactly what I did. The only difference is that when I drag the layout and try to drop it on the tool bar, nothing happens. Something else must be going on.

  • Shortcut to open layout

I’ve searched the forums and come up empty on this one. I had a shortcut established for opening my favorite layout. When I changed the name of the layout, I needed to update the name on the tool bar. However, now I cannot drag and drop any named layout to the tool bar to create a shortcut as noted at http://wiki.logos.com/Layouts__#How_can_you_create_a_shortcut_to_open_a_Layout
It would be awesome to have at least some Bonheoffer (Cost of Discipleship, Life Together, and Ethics) available in Logos in the "smart book" (tagged) form.
Perhaps it’s a publisher issue, but I have noticed that Bonheoffer's books do not seem to be available on Kindle either. It would really be nice to have this

Thanks for the suggestions; however, that did not solve the problem. Now I am not sure what the solution was, b/c the information is now on the Home Page! After deleting the HomePage file contents and rebooting per your suggestion, the Home Page Logos information would still not load (all the other information was there). I gave up and had lunch. When

  • Home Page Content Not Loading

I have had no problems until this AM. On startup, I am getting standard home page content without the other information from Logos: blog, community pricing, news, etc. I have searched the forums and have tried: Making sure the tick boxes are checked in the Customize section (lower left corner) Refreshing using both F5 and Shift-F5 Shutting down and

Melissa: Thank you so much for keeping a watchful eye on the forums! It is great to know that Logos is there! Hopefully, to close out this and provide feedback. Indexing completed and the problem seems to have been resolved. I have attached the indexer.log file for information if that might be helpful. Please note that I changed the name of the file

Thomas: Thx for the input. I went ahead with the “rebuild index” command, and Logos crashed. I restarted Logos and it stopped working again. This second time I had to totally shut it down through the Windows Task Manager. I started logging when I started Logos for the 3rd time and indexing started on its own. The program seemed to load just fine, and

Robert; thx for the quick response … and I was afraid that was going to be someone’s answer. The problem is that there is no indexing going on, no Logos icon in the tray (indicating indexing) and CPU usage is zip (usually at about 100% when indexing). If you look at the index.log (attached), there are no resources needing to be indexed and indexing

My library has completed its re-indexing from 4.2a SR-1. All has been well, until SR-2 and I downloaded some new resources. I have checked the inder.log file and indexing of the new resources is shown complete with no problems. I have not noticed the following message on searches in the past: “Some search results may be missing or incorrect while your

Gentlemen: Thank you for both the technical assistance and the light-hearted humor. Both are appreciated when working through software issues! As a way of providing a bit of feedback/ closure to this, I provide the following update along with a question. It appears that SR-1 to 4.2a was the solution to the indexing failure I experienced. · Starting

  • L4.2a Indexer Crashes

With just over 3,000 resources, I consider myself quite fortunate to have had no problems since installing L4 in late 2009. However, with the new L4.2a, I am now getting indexer stopped working Windows error message. Here is the last few lines from the indexer log file. Both the indexer log file and the crash reports are also posted. Can someone give
