Thanks for replying Martin. As I'm sure, being a developer, you will know there are a few ways to install Mac applications, the two main ways being, 'Application Bundles' used usually for simpler apps, and executable package installation files which (quoting from a website I visited) for "more complicated and involved applications
C'mon Logos - you don't even uninstall the old version of Logos 4 on the Mac when you do a new install of Logos 5! I'm sorry, and you can dispute me on this, but as far as I am concerned that is just slack programming.
If the program is upgraded to Logos 5 through the automatic update process the Logos 4 application

  • Re: Logos 5.0a on OS X Indexer Crash - Library

This crash is actually caused by indexing LLS:29.71.5001, SA_3EREV.lbxlls. There is a bug in this resource which causes a crash on all platforms due to invalid image information embedded in the resource. If you hide this resource you should be able to index successfully.

  • Re: L5 crash on Mac Os X

The logs indicate there is a problem loading one of the auto-created (Visual) bookmarks. Try going to Preferences, then set "Show Auto and Favorite Bookmarks" and "Show Search Bookmarks" to "No" and see if that prevents the crash. See http://wiki.logos.com/Visual_Bookmarks for more information on how to enable/disable this feature.

  • Re: Logos 5 Mac Crashing on Launch

Looking at the logs, it appears your ResourceManager database is corrupt. Please delete /Users/JohnMurphy/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/1t4r6tpi.m9h/ResourceManager/ResourceManager.db and the program should be able to launch.

There appears to be a duplicate entry in that database. Can you please attach the database at that location so we can take a look at it.
It's a big ask from the software (any software) I was more interested to see how well Logos 5 dealt with the (unusual) situation. In Logos 4 the text component only used (maxed out) one of the cores on my i7 CPU 27" 16 GB RAM iMac when it has 8 cores (4 hyper threaded). That meant essentially that the machine died - when it

  • Re: Logos 4 crashes on startup in Mountain Lion

This appears to be a problem with 10.8.1; there are reports of Apple's own applications failing to launch in the same manner after installing 10.8.1. People have found success in getting their application to launch again by: Open Terminal Type sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force Enter your password Reboot your machine

From your logs, your Layouts database appears to be corrupt. Deleting /Users/user/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/vbva7t0l.nsk/LayoutManager/layouts.db should allow the application to launch normally.

This is due to a change in Mountain Lion to the style of window that we are using; the bottom content border is quite a bit lighter than it was in previous versions of OS X.
