We shipped some improvements to search result display for highlights in Beta 3, but apparently they didn't make the release notes.
-
Highlighting does not work for me in Logos 8 if I have more than one tab open in a previously saved layout.
Thanks for the report, and sorry about the issue, Paul. We've seen other reports of this, too, and we're investigating! Hope to have a fix out soon.
Here is a video of my problem
James your video was helpful for understanding the issue you're reporting. Your ESV Text Changes notebook is certainly supposed to be appearing in the visual filter's list of notebooks. Could you please also post a log file from an application session where you opened the visual filter menu

William, is your app still syncing (indicated by the rotating arrows in the upper right)? When moving to L8, we do have to re-sync your notes content down because of various significant internal format changes. This operation can take a while if you have a lot of existing notes.
-
Now with 8 they are all hidden and I have to go and lick each one to make it visible.
James, I'm sorry to hear your notes defaulted to off. I think they're supposed to be visible by default; I'll look into whether we have a bug there. Meanwhile, there are some somewhat hidden options that should help you manage the visibility

Graham, I'm sorry to hear you continue to experience this issue. We haven't reproduced the problem here, but we'll take a deeper look into the issue.
-
Sorry to hear that Andrew! Can you please submit a log file that includes a failed export attempt?
-
We've made some changes to enhance the precision of some early calculations that determine whether to show that notice. You should see improved behavior in the next beta.
-
Dave, How long does the Search Panel display the erroneous message? If you let it sit for a minute, does the message still persist? If you change search types (Bible, Basic, etc.), does the message still persist?
-
Thanks, Dave. We'll take a look into this issue!

This error is related to a problem with a content delivery network we use. It's affecting more than just sermon export. We're working with the provider to resolve the issue quickly, and you can track this outage at http://status.faithlife.com/ .
-
Graham-- I'm sorry to hear that! We'll investigate.
what is the purpose of the auto publish button option
The typical workflow for Sermon Editor is creating a new document at the start of the week; working on it throughout the week; delivering it on Sunday; and then starting a new Sermon the following week. In this typical workflow, there's not a convenient time to
but the option is not available ... on previously created sermons
This is by design. Sermons created before the introduction of the autopublish feature do not have any autopublish options. If you'd like to publish those to SoundFaith, you can use the "Export... > Post to SoundFaith" option to manually publish.
-
Graham, I'm not able to reproduce this behavior. The checkbox remembers the last explicit value choice. (Which can be different from the value from your last sermon, say if you check it, and then delete that sermon.) Are you sure the last choice you made was to uncheck it, and then a new sermon started with it checked?
-
Thanks Lourens! I understand what you're reporting and we'll get that fixed. Sorry we missed this in the beta period.
-
Sorry this wasn't in the mobile apps on day 1. I hear support for it should be shipping within the next week.
-
Ross, it looks like the black on white slide templates are called "Generic {purpose}". For example, the Sermon Title version is called "Generic Title".
-
... however, it does not at all cooperate if you right click and "apply this style to all slides."
This is due to the way the "Apply this style to all slides" feature works. We have different specific pieces of media (with very similar visual styling) with different layouts for particular kinds of uses: Bible passages
-
Yes; if I'm understanding you correctly, this layout is by design. Since a slide preview is taller than a typical single line of text, if you have lots of single-line paragraphs that each have slides attached, the slides do bump each other down and get further from the paragraph they're attached to. Another option would have been to stretch out the
