• Re: Problem copying Greek text into Wordperfect

Could it have anything to do with Logos trying to carry over the citation? I have WP X3 and it copies short sections of text fine. However, when I try to copy larger sections it doesn't work. Logos doesn't include the citation reference when you only copy a small amount of text -- That's what it was -- I just did a quick check. When you turn off the

I believe that is a Unicode problem in WP. WP has just started adding Unicode support and it still does not work like it should. There are some characters with accents that I haven't been able to get it to display. As great a word processor as WP is, I seldom use it any more for that reason.

Sorry not to respond sooner--I've had a busy weekend and just got back to check on this. Let me explain a little more what I was trying to do--I may be missing something obvious. I was using Logos on y laptop at my office--no internet access so when I start it up it opens in offline mode. When I finish at the office, I put the computer in hibernate

  • Logon without restarting Logos

When I use Logos at the church office, I do not have internet access so I have to work offline. If I leave Logos running and move to my home, how can I get Logos to connect to the internet? I know I can shut it down and restart it, but is there an easier way?

  • Re: Daily Reading Plan "Home" Page on Opening Logos 4?

Probably the closest you are going to come is to set up a layout with your reading plan and resources arranged as you like them. Turn off your Home Page and close each day with this layout open. When you open the next day it will be set up for you. You could also put the layout on the shortcut bar so that you could have quick access to it.
I tried this, it doesn't seem to work. My collection for this test case is NA27, Stephens, Byz, Scrivener 1881, UBS4. No matter what I do UBS4 is placed first in the Collection and is the base in the comparison. I tried deleting NA27 and re-adding (I wanted that to be the base), I tried deleting and re-adding UBS4 (it wants

  • Re: Topic search

Anthony You can make a collection of just your Bible Dictionaries and search them with headword:worship. Why this doesn't find where worship is in the text of articles I don't know. I thought headword was limiting it to this, but I tried hd:worship and it worked - as did gork:worship, Logos:worship, and false:worship. Clearly there's something about
This is because the Headword field isn't supported in searching for most resources (if I remember correctly). Click the info button on the resource, is headwords one of the search-able fields?
Kevin The dictionaries aren't indexed to search on the headterms. Why does : return topics titled ? For instance, hd:faith
They return hits on "faith" ignoring the nonsense field like hd: anything: which are non-searchable.
But it doesn't return the same thing as just a search for "faith" would. It depends on your needs. I am a seminary student and a pastor who preaches through books of the Bible, so I want more technical and exegetical commentaries to show up first since that is what I most often have to deal with. Someone with other ministry responsibilities would choose otherwise. Of the ones I have in my L4 library, I like the Baker Exegetical
