  • Re: διὰ τοῦτο morphological tag

Thanks Rick. I was halfway afraid it was one of those exceptions we learned in first year grammar that I just couldn't remember.

  • Re: διὰ τοῦτο morphological tag

Thanks MJ, but no, it doesn't. That resource has it tagged as a nominative also which makes no sense to me. Διά is a preposition which takes its object in either the genitive or accusative case. Τοῦτο could be either nominative or accusative, but since it is the object of διά, it seems to me that it should be tagged as an accusative. Logos has tagged

  • διὰ τοῦτο morphological tag

Can someone tell me why τοῦτο is sometimes tagged as a nominative when it's used as the object of διά? One place this occurs is Mt 13:13. I understand that it could be nominative by form but being the object of διά would seem to signify that it is an accusative.

I got the updated Bible app loaded--using the twisting motion you described did enable me to access the menu. I also found that other motions worked--the easiest for me was a long downward motion then sweeping either left or right. I don't have Vyrso loaded.

I'll try to play with this later tonite--I've been wanting to update my version but have held off because of the previous problems.

You can't search for roots, but you can use wild cards in a Bible search. Something like διακο* will work, as well as *λογο* .

Joshua, visual filters only work with the resource type for which they were created. If you want this filter to work for all your Greek NT, create a collection and use it as the source. In my screenshot, the "Greek NT (Main) is a collection.

Like any series written by different authors, there are differences in the quality of the volumes. There are a few that I haven't been impressed with, but for the most part I think they do a great job for the audience they are aimed at. They don't get technical; they try to give a thorough overview of a segment of Scripture; and they try to help the

  • Re: Morph proximity search failure

Eric, Have you tried using a syntax search for this? The problem with formatting this as a morph search is that you don't get all the hits you should because the prepositional phrase is longer than 4 words (such as Acts 24:24 or Rom 1:12), or you get false hits where a prep phrase is only 2 or 3 words long followed by a 'faith' word (such as Acts 14
