This capability (clippings from non-Logos resources) does not currently exist. It's been requested quite a bit...would be a nice addition to the software.

My academic status was extended indefinitely upon initial renewal. I cancelled it myself about eight or nine years ago when I found out the hassle it was going to be to resell resources bought under the program. It may have been related to me having a .edu email...not sure.
Has anyone else on the forums done this?
I did the shortcut method. I created a few custom Series, the prioritized the Series. As far as I can tell, it ends up working the same way. Way back, right after L4 came out, I took the time to prioritize one for each book but was then told after asking a "why is this thing

As with any intellectual property, the *owner* has publication rights. As for restrictions, it depends on about where you are talking. In the FL groups, anyone can publish. In the software itself, I believe those are by invitation (at least, that's how one of the MVPs described it to me recently). So if you are talking about what pops up, a lack of
i was wondering how "Catholic" is the new Factbook tool
Interesting question, but then, from the perspective of a non-RC (reformed) believer, it doesn't appear your Pope is, either. If he stays in office much longer, none of the magisterium or tradition materials will be valid anyway, so Factbook may be your best bet at
Update Active only updates the current named layout that is in Saved Layouts , so it is independent of QuickStart Layouts and Home Page Layouts which are designed for use with the GO box layout commands; where the customization is intended to give you a layout more suitable to your needs.
This makes no sense, Dave
-
Did you name the layout?
Of course not. It is already named. In this case it was the "Bible and Commentary" layout. If I change the name, it won't show in the Quick Start area. The desired behavior is for the Update Active command to update changes in the listed Quick Start layouts as named.
You might want to preface the title of the post with BUG
Not sure it is a BUG. More likely it's a programming choice. I just would have made a different choice. :-)

I just learned the hard way that the Update Active command (when added to the shortcut bar) does not update a custom Quick Start layout. To do the update, one must open the layouts menu and again choose Replace With Current layout. I'm not sure if there's a reason for this...the preferred behavior (I would think) would be for Update Active to update

Having joined a few, I now have a question...how are these supposed to work if we can't post? (Or is it just me? :-) )

Very helpful post. Thanks for posting!!

Here's a triple face-palm just in case anyone needs one. It only works on those over about 50, though. And, it predates the actual use of the palm...it's more of a face-pincer-grasp. <rimshot>
It looks like what actually happened is that you bought the Logos 9 Reformed Silver Library , rather than the Logos 9 Reformed Silver Base Package .
That's not what happened. Got it worked out through email with FL...Joe was very helpful. It had to do with putting some things in the cart then removing them in a different

On a more serious note, the new folders on the shortcut menu are a magnificent upgrade. But the ability to drag from a folder to a particular place in the window (like you can most every place else) is important. FL, consider this an official request for this ability.
email you a neat Study Guide
I'm pretty sure I saw the study guide in the pre-pub section. (It wasn't free, though.)

Finally found the road map. It takes TWO re-indexes with a THIRD restart. Bingo.
When all else fails try rebooting.
Restarted (and re-indexed because I picked up the free Themelios in between) already.
How did I do this because now they are only showing up in my Bible?
Several possible reasons, but the simplest (Occam's razor happening here) is, you are using versified resources and have the visual filters turned on sometimes and then have turned them off. It may be more complicated than that but that's the first

Having purchased the Full Feature Set Upgrade, I was expecting to find the Sermon Manager in the Content area of the Tools menu. It's not there. Anyone have directions? If it matters, the web page says I own it. I'm just apparently to ignorant to find it. And yes, after the purchase, L9 went through a long download and index cycle.
