• Re: Your most useful iPad apps?
Got my iPad2 this week. Logos was my #1 reason for buying it and was my first install. Outside of Logos, what apps do you find most useful?
My iPad2 was a gift from my church :) and my #1 app is Logos. I never carry a paper Bible anymore, and the ability to compare versions while listening to a sermon, or parse a Greek

  • Re: Using I pad

There's a world of difference between busting out a laptop in a waiting room, and having your iPad tucked under your arm or in your briefcase. In short, its a convenience.... especially when away from home vs. reading emails while at home. No, it isn't the same as your L4 on your desktop/laptop, but it IS excellent for Bible reading (I no longer carry

We're all entitled to an opinion, and I didn't take any offense at your priorities.... I did, however, want to emphatically state (for the benefit of Logos understanding the
I like where this is heading but I can imagine getting all this information from thousands of users and being unable to wade through it.
Adding Audio Bibles to Logos 4 is an suggestion that we know a lot of users feel strongly about. We have the technological capability to support it (see the Greek Audio NT for an example); to the best of my knowledge, any future progress depends on our being able to secure the right licenses for reselling and distributing
Yes, we have come along way. But now it's time to not just automate how studied in the past - it's time to re-envision our tools. In the dead tree book era, scholars preserved and shared their work to help others... Now that computers allow us to go further, we need to find ways to make those efforts shareable.
NOW

Kevin, I'm guessing that you aren't visually impaired, hence fixing the Read Aloud feature most likely wouldn't be a priority for you or almost any other normally sighted person. ... I get that. Conversely, with a product as feature rich and resources so vast, Logos is a tool that VI people both want and need. Fixing Read Aloud for them (er... for

Logos and fellow users, please consider the more than 400 forum posts complaining about the Read Aloud feature of Logos 4. For Win7 and Vista users, the only option is Microsoft Anna, or a third party addon (none of which integrate well with Logos). I've suggested (Please! goto http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions

I bought the Logos 3 DVDs and LOVED them... I truly used Logos because of the DVDs. Fast forward a year or two and Logos 4 is released (Thank you Logos!), and after a couple of months I attended Camp Logos 4 (Thank you Mo!). I also bought John's training recently... so I may be uniquely qualified to comment on the contrasts of the three. 1. Camp Logos

  • "Read Aloud" functionality

I totally appreciate the ability to have Logos read aloud a selection, and have a couple of requests. 1. The methodology chosen uses the Operating System's text to speech functionality to convert a Logos book 'stext to speech, and specifically, Microsoft Anna as the only choice for Windows 7 64bit users. Anna's voice is less than optimal for pronounciation
