• Re: E-books to Logos

Since we don't know which methods you've tried and discarded, let me suggest Calibre to convert all ebook formats into a .docx format that you can build into personal books for Logos. It works for many of us, and I've converted a "bunch" of books for my own library.

  • Re: Logos training

I've attended Camp Logos with Morris, and bought his DVDs and manuals. All were great products, and I recommend them. I also bought LearnLogos CD's from John, and have corresponded with him several times. Love his work, and its a great reference when I need to refresh on a feature. Additionally, his free webinars are killer. Also highly recommended

  • Re: Is Camp Logos worth the money?

I attended Camp Logos 1 several years ago and have nothing but good things to say about the content, delivery, and value. Speaking of value, don't let the cost of the seminar discourage you (Morris isn't your typical "cheap date").... the seminar typically offers deep Deep DEEP discounts on assorted Logos bundles that will save you more than the cost

  • Re: logos on sshd

Josh, An SD card or USB drive is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY slower to access Logos. Either will technically function, but you may want to tear your hair out by the roots because of the (lack of) speed of response. My best advice is to follow the majority opinion and buy a Solid State Drive (SSD) as others have already recommended. You can easily determine

Congratulations and gratitude to everyone at FL !! I, in spite of Myke's legitimate comment/complaint about the slides being JPEGS vs. editable PPTX slides, got the High Definition Commentary: Romans Slide Pack from Steven Runge's outstanding High Def series of commentaries. Highly recommended for teaching/preaching/studying/devotions. Price: $24.99

Thank you Fred, That worked perfectly! Does anyone know if there is a repository (download site) for the all of the individual verse animations?

  • Faithlife Verse Animation (Download location and usage)

I am teaching through Colossians and watched the excellent Bible verse animation in the January 10th edition of Faithlife Today (This edition is titled "What can we learn from the Gospel of Thomas", you'll need to scroll down a little to see it, and the animation starts at about the 4 minute mark). I'd love to obtain and use the animation on Col 1:15
We've just added some new reading plan templates with a variety of “Bible in a Year”-style plans for 2017:
Since, at this time of the year, the thoughts of all Logos'ians turns to an attack plan for Bible reading/study for next year; we are all grateful for practical applications of our existing libraries

What does it mean to me (the big "so what")? But, more on target with the topic: I'd have gladly invested in a subscription based Logos if it had been offered in

Josh, You may already be aware of it, and/or it may already be included in your library: The Star Book for Ministers fills the same niche as Nelsons Ministers manual. Additionally, for the cost conscious, it's less expensive.

Sean, I appreciate your informative response, and respect the hard work FL is investing into Logos. It seems counter intuitive on some level that development would work so hard to parallel existing/competing technologies when it would be relatively easy to interface the Logos database WITH google results. For example, If I searched for "For God so loved

A "DO IT / DON'T DO IT" decision matrix is always helpful, and yours is fun too. Thanks ! I also agree with several posters that ultimately my decision factors in my belief that my L6 library is either complete or good enough as it is today, that the L6 tools are all I'll ever need just as they are now, and your excellent point about what happens to

Indulge me in a un-answer to your question, as I pontificate on the situation that occasioned the interruption. The age of Jairius' daughter (named Talitha (little lamb)) was 12 years old. The woman that interrupted the procession toward the sick (dead) girl had been ill with an issue of blood for 12 years. All of this is documented in Mark 5, Matt
