  • Re: Proclaim App - Android on Tablet

Hi Christopher, We're aware of quite a few layout bugs like this one when running the current version of the remote on Android 5.0+. While we work on getting the new Android remote ready for release with full Android 5 support, you can switch to using the notes view or the full screen views (the 2nd and 3rd buttons to the right of the Proclaim logo

  • Re: Using iphone/ipad as presentation computer with new update

Hi Jessica, I'm sorry, there's currently no way to remove the toolbar. The remote was designed to control a presentation that's taken on-air from the desktop; it was never designed to be used in isolation. Could you describe your setup? Do you not have an internet-connected computer in the sanctuary?

  • Re: How to use iPad to run Proclaim on IMac Remotely?

Hi Bird, When you take your presentation on-air from the desktop, it should automatically appear in the on-air section of the remote app within a few seconds. Both your desktop and your mobile device need to be connected to the Internet, and you need to be signed on with an account from the same group on both devices. See http://support.proclaimonline

  • Re: Proclaim App - Android on Tablet

The update is now live on Google Play. Note that you'll only see it for tablet devices running Android 4.4+ (same as the previous update). Smaller devices and devices on older versions of Android didn't suffer from the layout bug described above and never received the previous update. Basically, if you see the update on the Play store, accept it. If

  • Re: Proclaim App - Android on Tablet

Sorry about this all, a new build has been pushed to the Google Play store with the rotation fix. The rotation fix is the only change. If you don't see the update by the time you need to go live today (it can take a few hours for the app to update on Google Play) and you're seeing the crash on your device, you should be able to open the remote in the

  • Re: Proclaim App - Android on Tablet

We just published an update on the Google Play store, it should be available within the next few hours. There's a bug in one of the libraries we use that reports the Nexus 7 as being a phone when you use Android 5.0+. Basically, you were seeing what a phone user would see instead of what you should have seen as a tablet user. The update should be limited

Hey Keith, Slide control should be back to normal. We had issues the past the couple of weekends after relocating some servers to Seattle that negatively impacted the way we handle traffic and slowed things down for everyone during peak usage. I'm investigating the issue with your notes not appearing. I'll follow up shortly. Sorry for the troubles,

An update on this: We're still actively working on the slide delay issue, and you should also see a less obtrusive slide change indicator in the next update.

  • Re: Proclaim Remote becomming worthless

Hi Kristopher, We're looking into issues with slide delays, but at worst, you shouldn't be seeing anything longer than a 3-5 second delay. Were you seeing the long delay on every slide change, or was it just a specific request that timed out (in which case you would have seen an error message about being unable to change the slide)?

  • Re: Dual control of Proclaim

Hi David, You can only have one desktop computer running the presentation, but you can have any number of mobile devices (iOS and Android) controlling the presentation in addition to the desktop. In your case, you can have someone at the PC controlling the slides during worship, and you can have a mobile device at the lectern to control the slides during

Hi Lawrence, Thank you the report, we've had a handful of them on this issue. We're investigating why slide changes seem to take so much longer on Sunday morning.

Hi Gary, We can't share a timeline yet, but being able to control a presentation over your local network is planned for a future update.

  • Re: Swipe function on iPad

I forgot to mention, when you change to a slide, it should automatically center on the screen. You'll see the entire selected slide, along with about two thirds of the slide above it and two thirds of the slide below it. You don't actually have to scroll up or down to change slides, you can just tap whatever portion of the slide is visible to change

Hi Lawrence, I'm sorry for all of your troubles this morning. On the iPad: Presentation control works by sending a slide change request to our servers, then our servers sending a slide change request to the desktop. 3s is on the upper end of tolerable, but it's not terribly unexpected depending on network conditions. We'll be adding local presentation

Hi Zak, Nothing has changed with drag-and-drop recently. You're using your mouse/trackpad to try to arrange service items in the order of service pane (the left-most pane)? Try dragging a content service item to a new spot... Do you see an icon that says 'Aa' pop up near your cursor?

The next beta for Android is still in the works, but I can't give you an timeline just yet. We received a lot of useful feedback once the iOS version went live on the app store a few weeks ago, and we've been focused on getting it polished (improvements that will be the Android version as well). We'll be wrapping up that work in the next week or two

Hi Bill, Thank you for the feedback. We have to a strike a difficult balance between ease of navigation and visibility (text size being too small to read in various situations has been a common complaint), but there are a few things you can do to bounce around more easily. If you're trying to jump around between different parts of a song, you can easily

Hi Peter, The notes feature is currently only available while controlling a presentation (using the gear icon). We're working on adding support from preview mode in an upcoming update.
