• Study Bibles On Sale

There are a number of study bibles on sale until the end of the month in the New Years Deals. Are there any there that you are getting or any that you recommend. I am considering the Nelson Study Bible and ESV Literary Study Bible. What are your thoughts and suggestions?

Thanks John. I hadn't thought about doing this. I was able to set up 3 text comparisons on my main monitor with 5 translations in each text comparison. I can have my main bible in a floating window on my secondary monitor. Realistically I probably won't need 15 translations but nice to know I can bring them up if I need them. Now I just have to decide
You should get a copy command that shows up if you right click on the section heading. Alternatively, you can use the Print/Export option in the Panel menu to copy all sections to the clipboard at once.
Awesome! Thanks This is very helpful.

  • Working With Guides

I am working with the guides. In the Bible Word Study and Exegetical Guide (Word by Word Section) I want to copy from these guides but it won't let me. Am I doing something wrong? It won't let me highlight anything.
Give us back the option to use WordSearch. If the 1000's of pastors that invested in building their WordSearch libraries had wanted LOGOS, they would have bought LOGOS and not WordSearch. Why add this burden to pastors that are in the midst of cultural chaos and a covid pandemic? LOGOS and WordSearch existed separately and

  • Re: Which new Wordsearch resources would you like to see first?
Hi Michael, We are still working hard to get them delivered. As you may imagine, it's quite a complicated process (much more so than we expected!). The good news is that about 90% of the books we didn't previously have in Logos are now available in some form (whether ebook, Reader Edition, or Research Edition

  • The Threshing Floor in Ruth

I am working on a course on Ruth by Daniel Block (OT319). I am curious about the wind at the threshing floor. In the NAC commentary Daniel Block states "Boaz chose to do his winnowing at night, presumably because the night breezes were more desirable than the gusty winds of the daytime." However the New Manners and Customs states "The evening was selected

I have quite a number of books to be migrated from Wordsearch to Logos. Do you have any idea when they will all come over? Thanks
That sounds strange - it may be due to the version of software but it seems unlikely to me. Do you get any sort of error message when you try?
No it tries to open it but can't do it when I click on the link on the Logos website. When I try to go to www.app.logos.com it get the message Safari cannot open the page

Do you happen to know also, if the same device attempted to open that resource in www.app.logos.com would it be readable?
Yes it would - because then they would be using the software on the server not the app on their device.
On my ipad I cannot open the web app.
What version of iPad OS are you running? Can it be updated? What version of the app? Just want to make sure we aren’t making assumptions.
Version 10.3.3 (14G60)
I don’t know if this is what he meant or not, but sometimes new resources require an updated version of the app. If his device is old enough not to be supported, then new resources might be unavailable.
Thanks JT. I think you have it right. They open on my ipad in a blank page. I can read them on my iphone
Greetings Michael I am intrigued by this! Are these 'Logos' books or things you read in another app? If they are 'Logos' please will you give me a couple of examples?
Thanks Mike. One of them is NT Wrights The New Testament World
The mobile apps aren’t really meant to download ones entire library. If doing so is a primary necessity, a mobile device isn’t your best option. For the purposes of Logos, you can get the cheapest iPad they sell... there is no logos advantage for doing otherwise.
Awesome, thanks JT

What should we look for in an ipad. I have an older ipad but I can't read some books on it because of the newer technology. I also have a fairly large library. I don't want to spend more money on it than I need to so don't want to buy more memory then I need. Thanks.

I opened my courses tool this morning and I have 3 cards for Quickstart Logos 9. Previously there was only one. Why would there be 3?

  • Re: One Volume Commentaries
Might I ask? In the context of using Logos, for what reason would one elect to consult a commentary that is chosen by virtue of it being a one volume hardback publication?
For me the value of a one volume commentary is that it is concise. I often find what I need in a one volume commentary or sometimes in a study Bible

Maybe we are closer than we think. Rev_3:12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven , and my own new name.
