Sometimes it just takes awhile for the checkboxes to actually show up. I was getting the section in the information window but I just had to be patient and wait for it to appear. • Re: An error occured during synchronization

Hey Mark, There was a bug introduced a few months ago that caused the weekly days setting to be cleared in some cases for prayer lists. If you open up your prayer list, and go to the prayers with schedules that are set to read weekly, and make a change of some sort (if set to pray weekly on Monday, set it to pray weekly on Tuesday, and then set it back

Hi Chris, The PreferencesManager.db attached in the zip file, was the one in the LocalUserPreferences directory, there is also a PreferencesManager.db stored in the UserPreferences directory with more preferences that are synced between machines, which Martin is referring to. Seth

  • Re: An error occured during synchronization

So it looks like a prayer list of some sort is failing to sync. Do you remember if you made some change to a prayer list document a few days ago when these errors started occurring? It looks like all the other sync items are syncing fine though, so it is more of an annoyance seeing the yellow triangle, since it is only for this one item. We could probably

Could you launch the app and then post your error logs one more time. The previous ones had the appearance of all our servers being down, but you very well could just be having a single item not syncing correctly and I would like to make sure.
I am posting my Log Files to see if my error can be fixed. The yellow caution icon keeps coming up when Logos 4 tries to synchronize. Can someone help me fix this?
From looking at your logs, it looks like our servers were probably down for a while undergoing maintenance. Are you still experiencing sync errors today

That is good to hear. I'm curious if you were a very early Logos 4 beta user? There have been multiple issues that occurred with seemingly very old documents that only seemed to affect early beta users. Most of them had to do with old document formats that are no longer supported, that were long ago deleted from users' machines that somehow were resurrected

Hi Tim, The crash seems to be occurring because there is an extremely large handout in your database that is trying to be synced to the server, that is so large it causes the application to run out of memory. (32 bit applications typically have a 2GB limit). The crash might occur at anytime, but is more likely to occur after the program has been running

After you enable synchronization one more time, right after Logos boots up do a quick check and see if you have a Handout in your file menu. If it isn't there, but you are still getting the crash, then something else might be going on. If it is there, try to right click and delete it from the file menu,. When you enable synchronization it will try to

Michael, Try going to the file menu, and searching for Handout. Your database shows you only had one in there, and it was very very old. Right click and delete that one document, and that will tell the server to stop downloading it after you delete the folder. You probably have to do this as soon as Logos4 launches since after a few minutes it will

We are working on a fix to fix the data server side. In the meantime you might be able to fix the problem by going to your Logos file menu and filter on "Handout" and see if you have a handout you don't recognize or that might have been deleted a very long time ago (maybe even three years ago), and if it gets deleted the problem should go away. Apparently

Hi Michael, Would it be possible to email your handouts.db to feedback@Logos.com, so that I can found out exactly what is happening? You could just zip up the whole folder located at C:\Users\{yourUserName}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Documents\{x#x#x#x#x#.x##}\Documents\Handout. Regards, Seth Copeland Logos SW Development

Hi George, Do you by any chance remember what passage(s) and Bible were used to generate the word find puzzle that was causing the crash? I'm trying to track down the issue in development, but can't reproduce the issue thus far. Was it from a Greek or Hebrew Bible by any chance? Thanks, Seth Copeland Logos SW Development
