Argh. I just found it. They moved the link setting icon from the bottom of the screen to the top. Steve

I am looking at a split screen view containing the CSB on top and the NLT below. I see no way to sync the two Bibles. There are no circles, no links, nothing under the three dots... what am i missing? Regards, Steve

Hello. I am trying out a new (physical) Bible Marking/Highlighting method. Before I start putting pen to paper in my Bible (a real book, not a Logos resource) I want to test out and refine my method. To do this I would like to print out a chapter or two of the Bible from Logos and mark those up. I know I can print a book of the Bible in L5, but here

Bradley, Thanks for the pointer. I did have a visual filter turned on, but I don't see why that filter would cause the problem I am seeing, namely: no visual highlighting visible; switch to another running program; switch back to L5; the entire screen suddenly has visual highlighting... I still consider this a bug. Respectfully, Steve
-
No floating search panel. Perhaps I don't understand how these boards work. I was told to post it here with the title "Bug:" so that Logos staff could see it. >
-
;-P back at you.
-
Yes, I was searching to prepare for a Bible Study. But I don't see what this has to do with the bug unless you're suggesting that using L5 to search our resources is a bad thing? >
-
I used "GRAB". By default it captures tiff's. Just didn't feel like looking up the Mac keystroke for screen capture again (I keep forgetting it).
-
I do not have any visual filters enabled unless L5 comes with some. I don't even know what a visual filter is.
-
No "Search" windows open. The bug typically occurs if I switch to another application, then switch back to L5. Screenshots follow... "Normal" view 5314.Normal.tiff "Highlight Bug" View 7115.BugHighlighting.tiff

There are times when all the text on my screen (so far, only Bible text) suddenly becomes highlighted. It was never intended to be highlighted, but highlighting appears suddenly. If I close Logos and reopen the passage, the highlighting is gone (except, of course, any portion that was intentionally highlighted). I have attached a log to assist troubleshooting
-
That is odd. I do not recall changing passages between the two screenshots. I will pay more attention and try to ensure I change nothing when I create the log file. Steve
-
I did not change anything. All I did was Cmd-TAB to go to my browser window, read a few emails, then Cmd-TAB to return to Logos. I never closed the laptop. It did not go to sleep. The time elapsed was maybe five minutes from screen-shot one to screen-shot two. Nothing is up my sleeves ;-) I will try to create a log in the morning. Steve

Macbook Pro Retina Display running the latest OSX. Below are two screenshots. One is the normal text, the other is the "highlighted" text that I did not highlight. The highlights go away if I close and reopen L5. After the above screenshot, I jumped to my browser to read email. When I cam back, I was presented with the following:
-
No... a highlight is not created, but it appears that all text has been highlighted. If I close L5 and reopen to the exact same spot, there is no highlighting in this section. Steve
-
This is an odd one. When working with Logos, all is well. I switch to another program window (where L5 is not behind the active program window), then switch back to Logos. Suddenly every word of the open Bible is highlighted. When I scroll up and down, all other text is highlighted as well. The only way to get it to go away is to close L5 and reopen
-
I have a very similar problem. I purchased a MacBook Pro Retina laptop, which comes with Mountain Lion preinstalled. Every time I Quit Logos 4, it appears to close naturally, but the process continues to run. If I try to Force Quit, my Finder then hangs. As of now, if I know I need to quit logos, I wait until I need to restart my laptop. Steve

Thanks for the responses. I agree with the answers, and have confirmed what you describe is true. However, I still believe that it is a bug to create a new layout (replacing the active layout the user is working with) when I use Search from the Home screen as opposed to the Layouts screen. Why should search results be different based on where you type
-
I have my window (layout) split. On the left are my Bibles. On the right are my research resources (commentary, dictionary, etc.). I come across a concept I want to research, so I click on the little house icon to go to the Home page where I type in my search term and press Enter. L4 takes me back to my reading window, where the layout format remains

Update: Absolutely no change. I still have the problem. The only thing that changed was it occurred the very first time I tried to replicate it. Steve
