• Re: PB-Denver Seminary Annotated Bibliographies/Recommendations

Sorry to do new editions so quickly, but I went back and rechecked all volumes not available for purchase or pre-order in Logos to see if they had become available for Kindle, and several had, so I have added those notes to the end of those entries. 6153.OT2022_1_0.docx 3225.NT2022_1_0.docx

  • Suggestion: Historical Commentary on the Old Testament (HCOT)

You can vote for this series to be added to Logos here . This is a highly regarded series with several volumes completed. It is also very expensive to find in paper in the US, so it would be a great series to have in Logos. The publisher's page is here , with the Amazon search here . Five of the volumes are listed in Denver's OT annotated bibliography

  • Re: Wide and "Crazy" vs Narrow Libraries

I look at each base package, figure up all of the resources that I really want to have, and if the cost of the base package is less than the books I want, then I purchase it. I don't worry about the denominational title. This usually means I eventually get most levels of every base package except SDA and Pentecostal & Charismatic, since the crossover

  • BUG: Sermon Editor "Insert block Enter" Not Working (9.11 B1 and B2)

When I add any verse or passage by typing the following: dan 1 2 [Enter] or even daniel 1 2[Enter] Nothing happens. The options for "Insert inline (tab)" and "Insert block (Enter)" still pop up, but Enter does not work. I have to click on the actual words "Insert block (Enter)" for it to add the verse. This was in 9.11 Beta 1 and 2. I'm not sure about

  • Re: Gospel of Q

Almost every scholar, both "conservative" and "liberal" (I dislike these labels for biblical scholarship) recognize that Matthew and Luke used Mark and the hypothetical Q document, reconstructed from Matthew and Luke in print, as sources. Matthew includes almost all of Mark's gospel, and Luke uses about half of it. There is clearly a literary relationship
Additional comment: fellow forum user Joseph Turner regularly converts those Denver commentary lists into a PB which makes it easy to jump directly to those one owns already. Just follow this thread for updates.
Yes! I will release the OT and NT once they get the NT up. It should be up in the next few days.

It simply proposes interpreting the Bible in its own context, yes, including the context of the surrounding nations, to which the ancient Israelites consistently turned in terms of culture and religion as the Old Testament points out over and over, as opposed to interpreting the Bible in a 21st century context, which is completely foreign to the biblical
