What is the difference between http://www.logos.com/product/5321/commentary-on-the-new-testament-use-of-the-old-testament and the book with a similar name in this Baker set?
The one in the link you provided goes through the entire new testament and then points out every place where there is a reference, or possible reference
I agree with the sentiment, though I've yet to turn into a hulk from annoyance. I did not, however, receive the email you mentioned, in spite of having posted in those threads. I wonder if they sent it just to you.
LOL, now that would be cruel and unusual!

  • Logos has compounded my annoyance!

OK, so I am already annoyed by the fact that so many good books are strategically placed in sets by Logos so that we will spend more money, not because of requirements by publishers as has been strongly implied in the past. Then we had the thread about Beale's New Testament Theology which many have wanted for a long time (as it was asked for here ,

  • Pseudepigrapha not linking correctly

I have the Pseudepigrapha sets from both Charles and Charlesworth. When I open a reference in L4 it correctly opens in Charlesworth, but the exact same link opens in Charles on the iPad. Is there a way to prioritize to Charlesworth on the iPad? I figured it would take the settings from my L4 account. The links in question are from The Apocalyptic Imagination

  • Re: Spurgeon's Sermons on CP

Amazon is my go-to place for information on anything that I want to buy, so I naturally headed over there to see what the paper versions are going for. It seems that you can get the 5 volume set for no less than $50 new (up to about $100), which of course would not get you tagging and the other benefits of Logos, so for me, $75 seems like a fair price
There's also Answering the New Atheism: Dismantling Dawkins’ Case against God on prepub. Haven't read that particular book, but the author is generally good.
Wow, Anthony Flew, noted athiest turned agnostic, gives it high regards for the arguments made. This seems interesting. Unfortunately, it is in a collection, and even

I understand the desire for server convenience, but I think you will find because of the way Logos is implemented, remote access would be more trouble and less useful.

Does Crossroads Christian Schools have licenses purchased that you don't want teachers installing on personal computers, or are these individually owned?

  • Re: Logos 4 on Windows Server 2008

I agree with Alabama, and an rdp session is not going to give the same performance as a local install. As long as each person has a license, then they can pretty much install Logos on as many computers as they want as long as they are the only user. It will sync between computers, so any benefits of a server install are negated.

You could also try Contending with Christianity's Critics: Answering New Atheists and Other Objectors , with essays from 18 scholars, including Ben Witherington and William Lane Craig. It is broken up into three sections: The Existence of God/The Jesus of History/The Coherence of Christian Doctrine

  • Re: rationale behind bundling resources?

Olive tree has many of the same works available individually (i.e. NICOT/NT and NIVAC), so I am not sure why Logos, which I would have to think is the better platform for publishers, would be required to sell in bundles. Logos seems to be the only one.

  • Re: Beale New Testment Theology now Available

We are working under the assumption that Baker, Zondervan, Eerdmans, etc. are the ones requiring the books to be in sets. It is not logical for those companies to be the ones requiring this. They do not require this for ANY OTHER DIGITAL PULBISHER. Logos always makes comments like "sometimes we have to follow requirements from publishers." This does

  • Re: Beale New Testment Theology now Available

It's not that the books aren't all great, it's that the price becomes prohibitive once you guys force popular books into a set, which seems to be exactly what happened here. There was some interest expressed for the book, and so Logos put it into a set in order to make more money. It is like going to the car dealership to buy a Honda Accord, and when

It will work if you have 3 discreet outputs. The way you can check is right click on the desktop and go to "screen resolution" at the bottom of the menu that pops up (assuming Windows 7 or Vista). If you see 3 monitors under "Change the appearance of your displays" then you have three discreet outputs. You would then click on each one and use the dropdown

  • Re: Beale New Testment Theology now Available

I agree, and I think that this borders on price gouging. The argument will be that the publisher is forcing the book to be sold as part of the set, but I don't understand why Logos seems to be the only digital book company that has to sell in sets. A different digital Bible publisher sells NICOT/NICNT and NIVAC individually, and this has bothered me

The Expositor's Bible Commentary was one of the sources that the New Testament writers used to compile their documents. How else do you think they knew so much?!? Take this chance to own one of the earliest sources for the entire Bible!!!! Order now, and you can get a free copy of the KJV, the very Bible Paul used in his ministry! Deal only lasts while
