Glad it's not just me :-) At least the Logos 3 download was OK and it shows up on biblia.com... Let's hope it is sorted out - I will also email tech support/customer services to make sure they are aware of the problem... Andy

This was released yesterday but it wont download properly - neither in the latest Logos 4 release or beta. It 'downloads' and restarts Logos but the resource does not appear. If I then say 'update resources' then this cycle is repeated and still no resource... Anyone else experiencing this? Andy

I too cannot login... Biblia.com is also down... Andy

I, as the OP, do not consider Logos as having 'lied' to me, in the sense of intentionally deceiving me. As i was able to check the prices easily, it seems OTT to accuse them of anything sinister. As MJ put it - they'e been sloppy and it's an indication that their back end computer systems are not as good as could be. If I were designing such a system

http://www.logos.com/product/5965/sahidic-coptic-collection retails at £83.50 GBP Bought separately, the 3 volumes come to £63.60 Is this an example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts :-) Andy

Thanks - that worked. I'm smiling now Andy

I recently upgraded my Logos 4 package... Will I be able to get the new resources in Logos 3 as well? If so, my order does not indicate how to do so... Thanks Andy
benefits of being able to forget
Not to forget the need to 'forgive and forget'... This discussion reminds me of the joke I read: "I have amnesia and deja-vu. I'm sure I've forgotten this before..." Andy
I suppose one could say "aw, who needs a prodigious memory anymore now that we've got computers," but there is more to memory than just recalling knowledge of facts. Just read Augustine's Confessions , Book X, Ch. 8 ff. As he puts it (in ch. 25), God dwells in our memories; he makes his sanctuary there: "But where in my memory

Maybe I am mistaken. it seems odd that there might not be such an entry, though. andy
Trinity isn't in the current L3 ABD. The date on the L3 resource is 2008-08-28T17:25:18Z Actually it seems a little spooky (almost 3 years to the day?).
That's bizarre - I only purchased it in June 2010 and my recollection is very clear - it contained a quite terse entry on the Trinity. Maybe I'm getting confused
I would suggest someone able to go and check the physical copy first. do not trust the internet for infomation and certainty of things
The entry definitely existed in the past - within Logos4 - I remember reading it! I will check my Logos 3 installation at home tonight - maybe it has the entry? Andy

Thanks Rosie Should I raise a bug with Logos directly? Andy

My copy of this resource seems to be missing entries between Trimorphic Protennoia and Tripartate Tractate (screenshot attached). I know there was a small entry on The Trinity in that slot previously... I tried hiding the resource and unhiding it (to force it to redownload) the the missing entries persist in their absence... Is this just me or are others

It's worth looking at Stanley Porter's Idioms of NT Greek, where it points out that, if a noun lacks the article, it usually means: 'the noun is a member of a class or the noun functions as an adjective .' If the noun has the article then it means either a particular being/thing ('ho anthropos' sometimes means: The man) or the thing in general ('ho

I have seen weird formatting issues. Then again, I was trying to import a docx that had been converted from a PDF file that had odd page sizes and formatting. The file displayed ok in Word, but was mangled badly by Logos PBB. Hardly surprising for a first beta - I wonder how well PBB will be able to cope with weird Word document layouts - multiple columns
