  • Re: Center for New Testament Textual Studies’ New Testament Critical Apparatus

It seems that this new edition doesn't come in paper. New updates will come as downloads. I assume at no cost. So if I don't pay (again) I will not be able to receive the updates. I wonder how much cheaper a digital book should be if there is no paper edition? Just a thought. Stephen

  • Center for New Testament Textual Studies’ New Testament Critical Apparatus

The resource Center for New Testament Textual Studies’ New Testament Critical Apparatus was published 10 years ago. Now an update has been published. Should I be charged full price for the update if I own the earlier edition? I also wonder why the latest edition is based on the United Bible Societies The Greek New Testament (3rd ed. corr., 1983

Check out the following .... 1. The Lexham Textual Notes on the Bible is simple, and deals with verses in NT order. 2. Philip Comfort's NEW TESTAMENT TEXT AND TRANSLATION COMMENTARY is well set out. 3. His ENCOUNTERING NT MSS has a couple of very informative chapters of on several passages in FG. Stephen Australia

  • Are these books more expensive than advertised?

Go to https://www.logos.com/top-10-free-logos-resources . The site says there are 10 free resources. but they are not free. Go to https://www.logos.com/top-10-logos-resources-under-3 . Only 4 of these resources are under $3. Go to https://www.logos.com/top-10-logos-resources-under-10 . Not one of these resources is under $10. Go to https://www.logos

In ch9 .... Living and Giving as Reconciled People: Studies in 2 Corinthians, Galatians, and Ephesians .... the FOURTH section ..... Oneness in Christ .... is a discussion of Ephesians 2:8-20. However the sections .... A. By Grace Through Faith (vv. 8, 9) .... and B. For Good Works (v. 10) link incorrectly to Galatians 2:8,9,10. This can be seen in

Success!! (With no thanks to Logos support.) To help others with the same problem the issue was solved by re-installing Win10 by using the Microsoft Media Tool, and ticking "Keep all files and apps". If, like me, you are doing this on a laptop, make sure it is plugged in. The whole process took about 3 hours. Stephen Australia

Graham, Thx for reply. Win10. I realised going (updating) to Beta was risking, but I will worry about that later. I run the Logging script, get the message that Logging in ON. Run Logos. Splash screen for 2 seconds. No Log files appear in the AppData/Local/Faithlife/. When I delete the Log directory (from years ago), the directory is not re-created

  • Logos 9.7 not starting

After many years of faultless operation my Logos 9 won't start. The splash screen pops up for a couple of seconds then disappears. I tried re-installing 9.7 ... Logos already up to date. So I tried installing 9.8 beta. Same result ... splash screen for a couple of seconds. I tried logging but either there are no log files created or I can't find them

MM, You don't mention which Greek font you are using. Some Greek fonts have a larger default line spacing. SBL BibLit (which caters for both Greek and Hebrew) has greater spacing than most. Stephen

Jeremy, Thx for the reply. Just double click on the last word of the Hebrew text of Isaiah 3:17. BHS and BHLenCod keylink to honeycomb. BHS 3.5, BHS 4.0, BHS 4.2, BHW 4.18, LHB, BHS/WIVU and BHS SESB2 all keylink to bare. This seems to indicate that the BHS mistake was corrected in every later revision. I need to correct what I said about interlinears

  • Keylink confusion in Isaiah 3:17

Isaiah 3:17 contains a couple of tricky Hebrew words, but BHS should not keylink to "honeycomb". This strange error is repeated in several, but not all, Hebrew interlinears. I guess some Hebrew interlinears use BHS morphology. Is there info somewhere about what Hebrew and Greek morphologies are used by all the interlinears. What the dictionaries etc

I have an ongoing problem with the rendering of the Hebrew font in DCH. Each article uses a large Hebrew font heading, with smaller Hebrew font in main text.
