Hi, Most of this already exists, try typing "type:commentary" for example into the library search box. The help file will show you all the possible fields, any that don't exist that you want can be essentially created using mytags, but it's a manual job I'm afraid. Kenny

Hi Matt, As a quick attempt you could try typing "update now" (without quotes) in the command box at the top of logos 4, if not you may want to attach your logs (see http://www.logos.com/mac/support/bugs ) and post them here. Kenny

That's amazing! What on earth is happening, surely it's just a bouncing icon!

Thanks for that, it's a great start. Kenny

Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to combine the various timelines, such as kings, prophets into one chart. I'm not actually too fussed about the exact dates, just an idea of order! Thanks, Kenny

Not Frank, but if you hunt the Microsoft website I think they have a free converter! Else Google Docs will open it. Kenny

Just a thought, it would be useful to have a separate control for the citation style for printing/exporting compared to the usual one. I use the Bibtex style usually for creating latex bibliographies but this style isn't great as a footnote on printouts!

Thanks Brian! Jerry, I don't think people are syncing it in any real way but just using it as an external application to make their notes on, much like you would with a traditional notebook (with the added bonus of copy and paste etc.). I find the notes function in Logos fiddly so a product designed specifically for note taking seems to be preferable

Brian, How did you get Scrivener to go more than 1 level deep? I'm clearly being dense! Kenny

I've also been using evernote, although Scrivener looks interesting, might give it a shot!

Hi Thomas, Thanks for the reply. I guess it's manageable, it just makes things awkward when flicking back to re-read something as it's not where you expect it to be, maybe this decision could be reconsidered. Kenny

Hi All, I'm finding in the new beta that page view seems to not always break at the same points. I've specifically noticed it in A voice in the wilderness: clear preaching in a complicated world. Essentially if I use the mac touch pad to move through the pages backwards and forwards a bit then the page breaks move! Kenny

Just to confirm, I can replicate this bug. Kenny

Although we seem to have digressed, I'll chip in anyway! :) I use all three OS' on a pretty much daily basis. All have their own pros and cons. Linux is great for some stuff and for daily computing is quick and easy assuming all your hardware works (which it usually does). It becomes a problem when someone sends you a file in a format that has a free

Hi Dominic, Just to clarify I am UK based, and I will accept that a significant proportion (probably most) will have the issue you describe. However there is a growing number of churches utilising newer or non-purpose built buildings, including rented places, especially outside of the mainstream denominations and church plants. Although the % of these

Hi All, Quick searching question; suppose I am wanting to find references for Jew NEAR (greek OR gentile), this doesn't work as it seems to include near as a search term rather than an operator. Any ideas for how I go about this? Thanks, Kenny
-
Hi Don, If you click the little arrow at the bottom of the magnifying glass on the search screen you can turn off "match all word forms" which should help. Kenny

Hi Mark, The other thing to bear in mind is that depending on the layout of the church building etc. The church office which may well have Wifi for work purposes during the week sometimes reaches much of the building anyway, so it may be unintentionally there in some buildings.

To clarify... Shairon, do you mean that on your computer you have two seperate user accounts. One for your husband and one for you, each with your own My Documents etc. and you inadvertently installed it whilst logged into his user area? If so an easy, but time consuming, suggestion would be to remove the software an reinstall it on yours, else someone
