Yes, PDF works with kindle. Reason for the .mobi on the actual sermons is because I couldn't get any kind of TOC to work with PDF.
-
I was unsatisfied that this wasn't available on Amazon so I decided to make it myself. I spent some time converting all of the free pdf sermons from spurgeongems.org into a .mobi format with a functioning table of contents and so that each sermon is numbered in the table of contents. Each file has 500 sermons in it. There might be a glitch here or there

You can't go wrong with anything written by Spurgeon.

I understand that the clipping feature is meant to work universally across many resources, but it would be wonderful if you guys could add a feature so when I clip from a bible it will indicate what book of the bible the clipping is from (so I don't have to then click the hyperlink and surprise myself). I'm eventually hoping this feature will then filter

Will do! Thanks!

I see. Yeah, I agree it would make sense for it to be able to detect bibles and identify the book names being clipped from. Would be very useful.

Everytime I use topic guide it insists upon first loading my prior topic search which can take a good ten seconds of thumb twiddling just so I can see a guide for a topic I don't want. If it's not going to cache the results then please blank out the search box so I don't waste my time and you don't waste server resources performing the unnecessary search

When I make a clipping from my ESV bible the chapter shows up but not the book. Kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me. Is this a bug or just something very important that was overlooked? I'm in the latest version of iOS which is 10.2.1 I believe.

I'm interested in the mobile ed and faithlife tv bundle. But I have a concern. I was going through the content and there are many videos on faithlife tv about sex, sexuality, and the like. I would imagine that elders at my church may not want such videos available to everyone or even anyone. Is there a way as an admin to filter out certain content?
-
I get an email today about this mobile ed + faithlife tv trial weekend and learn about the fact a church can subscribe and everyone gets access to everything. Amazing! It shows 70% off the bundle of both Mobile Ed and Faithlife TV which for my church size is $129/mo instead of $499/mo. Main question: Is this like how Direct TV does it and gives you
Matt, I was having a really off morning. You can do what's noted in the OP y using the technique laid out there, or by typing the word in the input box on the word study page. Everything else I said was bogus. I don't know what I was thinking, and I'm really sorry for any confusion caused in my dazed state. Some of it I

I don't understand what you mean by a word-study from a non-interlinear resource.
A "word study" in the Logos context, ALWAYS means looking up an original language word which lies underneath the surface text of a bible. Only bibles with a "reverse interlinear" can do this, and you must own
In all likelihood, this is an issue of a slow response from the FL servers (perhaps due to your internet connection, slowness on FL or a combo of both).
Maybe it has something to do with prior to the look-up completing, it has not yet found the original language word (ex., Ναζωραῖος) so it just searches for the highlighted
You could 1) do the word study from a non-interlinear resource, 2) put the phone in Airplane mode or 3) type in the word to search for - all of which involve slightly more faff than this "trick", but it's doable. I think there is now a way to accomplish what you desire! I do t know if it's a bug or just hidden feature. Read this: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/133526/867682.aspx#867682

There is a secret way to look up a word as defined by any purchased dictionaries and encyclopedias instantly all while reading your favorite translation. When you click on a word and select "Look up", a pop-up appears which says that Logos is looking up the word. At the bottom of the pop-up box is a "Bible Word Study" link to click. Now here is the

Wouldn't it be amazing if I could highlight a word and my specified dictionary of

It's unrelated but you guys do know that the ISBE is only $4.99 on kindle. It's the new and updated one (not the 1919 or whatever version). Then you can set it as your dictionary and whenever you highlight a word while reading it will magically look up the word in the ISBE and give it in a pop-up window. Crazy. https://www.amazon.com/Bible-Encyclopedia
